Great stay!

We had a lovely beach bungalow.Very clean and in a lovely setting.Breakfast was great.A lot of choices. We loved Railay beach but can be busy with the boats coming in.The staff were really courteous and helpful.We had a great stay !!

We left after 3 nights

We had high hopes for this place and was looking forward to spent our family holiday here. We should have stayed for a week, but ended by leaving 4 days before even though we couldn’t get a refund. The pictures and the caption on instagram: “your own privacy on beautiful Railay beach” is not even close to the reality. There were Long Tale boast all over the beach which caused a lot of noise and not any privacy at all giving all the tourist who came with the boats on one-days-trips… the room was dirty with black hair on the floor - even more hair after cleaning. The breakfast was poor and the service in the restaurant was nearly not exciting. We won’t be coming back.

Great location. 3 pools. One in front of beach. Nice staff. Disliked hard bed, mattress only, no topper. I had to ask for an extra duvet to put under me. The room I had shared wall with another. Not an issue. However it had 3 steps in 3 different locations to get from bed to toilet. I almost fell the first night. This bathroom had green tiles. Avoid this room if multiple steps inside are an issue. Breakfast had an omelette station that was very good and fresh cappuccino and lattes made for 80 baht. They were good and hot.

Fabulous location on the beach and very friendly and helpful staff. It’s not polished and gleaming but exactly as a beach hotel should be - laid back, great vibe and spectacular sunsets! The hotel transfer from Krabi airport was super slick and well worth booking.

Needs a lot of work.

Staff was amazing! Weather was great, location great. But can use a lot of work. The doors are really hard to lock. When Maids clean your room they leave door open which lets a handful of mosquitos in every-time. The toilets smell extremely awful kept having to call front desk to fix but all they would do is clean the bathroom and burn candles. The outside shower only had cold water so we had to take a bath-shower and the water would never stay warm. The floors are extremely slippery even when dry so you have to be extremely careful when walking. You can never get a seat by the pool because people will reserve their spot by the pool for hours before actually being at the pool. There is no bar as it is a halal resort. The food is mediocre. Also the staff will start working around 530 am and you will hear boats pretty much going all night. Probably won’t ever stay here again.

We were so disappointed by this resort. It was the worst stay we had on our 3 week trip to Thailand. The photos made it look somewhat “luxurious” (though dated, which still would have been fine) but it was far from that. After our late check-in (the room wasn’t ready on time), we were brought to a villa that still had wet floors, hairs and sand laying around, toothpaste on/around the sink, and was generally dilapidated-feeling. There were scuffs on the walls, mold, fingerprints spattered on every window, etc., and we had no bath towels. We’d paid a bit more for a villa with a jacuzzi tub that we didn’t use once because of being grossed out by the state of it (dirty, mildew, calcification all over the spout, etc.). I absolutely hate complaining but I felt I didn’t have a choice here after spending $275 a night in Thailand, and I let reception know, to which they seemed confused or bothered, stating “it’s the high season”. We said we would wander Railay and give them more time to clean the room, though this made hardly any difference. There was no lotion provided or even conditioner in the shower. The resort and room felt poorly maintained and dirty, sadly. The breakfast buffet had a decent variety, though. We were fortunate to have only booked 2 nights, but even that was too much for Railay, we thought. All you need is a few hours there to see the beautiful landscape, but both the walking street and beach are over crowded.

Best hotel stay in Railay

This was my second time visiting this hotel, and whenever I return to Railay I will book the same one. Staff are extremely friendly especially the man ( sorry I didn’t get his name) who drives the buggy’s with your luggage. Breakfast is fantastic and a gorgeous location.

This by far is our favourite resort that we stayed at. The little cabins and beds are very comfortable. From the moment we walked into the resort, we felt welcomed. We were given cold towels and cold drinks and it was perfect. We spent a hot day on the ferry to get there. The breakfast buffet has a great selection of food. Would highly recommend this resort to anybody thinking of staying at Railey beach.

Fantastisk hotel

Fantastisk beliggenhed, dejlig fin strand i den vestlige side. Lidt larm fra Long tails. Fyldt strand om dagen. Morgen og aften er bedre når der ikke er dagsturister ved stranden. Fin walking street med restauranter tæt på hotellet. Phra Nang strand kun 10 minutters gang fra hotellet. Meget hjælpsom personale, super service. Dejlig morgenmad. Restauranten er også ok til frokost og aftensmad. Poolen blev ikke brugt da man skulle være meget tidlig op for at kunne finde en ledig liggestol. Rene værelser.

Great stay!

We had a lovely stay at the Sand Sea Resort. Our bungalow was very spacious, dated, but appreciate the work it must have taken to build something like that, as well as the whole resort. Service was on point. Airport shuttle was a fun adventure and very reasonably price (took the longtail transfer and booked our own car through Bolt).
