Was disappointed in this La Quinta. It’s a strange brand because some properties are impeccable and some like this one leave a lot to be desired. Lobby smelled of mildew, room smelled the same. The area of the room near the outer wall where the air conditioner was, was soaking wet because the air conditioner was leaking water all over the floor. The room showed general spots of wear and tear. The shower had lost of water stains and small areas falling apart. The bed and linens were thankfully clean. I showed the staff the wet floor problem and commented about the smell. Was disappointed I was not offered something for my troubles. At check in the young lady working the desk was very pleasant. Overall for a hotel room over $100 this stay was a major letdown.

Was ok but room needs to be updated. Shower is poor, desk chair in room is terrible, old leather is all scratched off very poor, furniture is old carpet is stained as well as furniture chair by bed. Door in restroom is in need of repair paint at bottom is coming off and blustered.

No ice machines were working. The swimming pool was green and closed. This is summer in Texas, no? There was a customer laundry that was non-functional. The room was clean, had good air conditioning; the bed , Cable TV & WiFi worked fine. We were just there for one night, so most of the non-functional things weren't a big deal. The $25 "Pet Fee" was a bit steep, for a "Pet-Friendly" hotel.

I usually never write negative reviews, but unfortunately, this hotel has left me feeling disappointed. I would wish to always say good things about service.. In the case of this hotel, I have never felt more unwelcome in the town of Alice. To add to that, I would say that a room with a roof over its head is usually good enough for me, and I wouldn't complain...I strongly believe you should have a clean hotel experience. Always. I also believe that no matter if you're working in a hotel, any type of store, or a restuaunt, you treat the guest with kindness (especially when they were being kind to you) I was kind to a staff member this morning and was not met with kindness back. You would hope that in a hotel, you would feel like a welcomed guest, but I felt the complete opposite. I will probably never stay there again. Now the room itself probably could've been better. There was rust in the bathroom, mysterious stains on some of the walls near the bed.. the door in the bathroom appeared to have either been beaten off the hinges at one point, or maybe the rust made it seem like it could have fallen off at the top. The outlet by the bed was orange and looked like it was a hazard, it did spark but it was okay but still scary. The other outlet was shoved in the wall, and I was afraid I would get shocked if I tried to plug anything in that one, so I didn't. Didn't see any bugs...but I have a random bite on my inner thigh. Hopefully nothing will follow me home(bug wise).

The jacuzzi was very finnicky and the pump seemed to be on its last leg. Was hard to get it to run, and when it did it wasnt particularly strong. Lots of rust in bathtub and slight odor on bed.

Ok i guess
Using this app i booked a room that would have been cheaper if i had just walked up to the front desk. The staff was friendly. The room was okay, but the hot water was barely hot, the tv and cable were outdated, and all the metal fixtures were rusting. Bed was comfy and i slept well.

The evening shift associate was very nice, did not get the gentleman’s name. The day shift associate for Saturdays stay was rude and took forever for her to even come to the front counter to assist us. She made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. The room overall was good, except the recliner looked like something they brought in from the street and the desk lamp had rust all up and down the shaft and base. The amenities they provide which is appreciated has a drop of shampoo in the container. Dollar tree sells at least 3oz bottles. This may have been .025. The cost of the room did not match the room and it was discounted!
