For the cost paid the standard of accomodation is very very poor. Having stayed the night before in Alice paying half what we did at Kings canyon and in Alice being in luxury apartment the accommodation at Kings Canyon was beyond poor.
The toilet blocks were very old and in serious need of renewing.
The check in was ok. We asked for an update and was told would be an extra $500 on top of what we paid per night.
Again seriously overpriced.
The staff and food at the restaurant were great and can not be faulted
Because of the cost and quality of accommodation is the reasons people travel overseas.
Well kept grounds, clean, friendly. Rooms were also clean and comfortable. Big selection of food but poor cooking quality. Invest in a good chef will be a game changer for better tasting food. The food is there but you need someone who can cook.
Loved being back in my birth state, revisiting places I haven’t been to in 30 years, just thought the price was a little excessive for not getting a bathroom.

Beautiful location but very outdated rooms that are overpriced for what you get. Bare cinderblock walls, no bathroom in the room. Common bathroom area was clean but in another building. Food at the restaurant was good and staff were friendly.
We had a wonderful time at Kings Canyon. Teresa, the resort supervisor, was extremely helpful and friendly. She made our stay enjoyable and even arranged tickets for us to see the Bruce Munro light installation. The room was comfortable and immaculate.

Was unable to make contact with Kings Canyon Resort after paying for my reservation
Very expensive for what you get but Kings Canyon is out of the way.
Room was next to the camp kitchen so was very noisy at times.
Shared camp toilets and showers.
Double bed creaky and moved around a fair bit.
For $205 per night it was ordinary.

The resort was close to Kings Canyon and the food was great.
Was told check in is at 3 o’clock but all advertising says 2 o’clock. Had to wait the extra hours after a long drive :(

The brick built room is warm and sound proof, just a bit old, especially the middle of the mattress are sink. The water temperature of the shower is just slightly warm, so cold if you shower after dark.
