Safe and quite, nicely appointed interior renovations. They upgraded me to a waterfront view, which was very nice. The only issue was the shower didn't get very hot, just warm. Other than that, great!

Great place to stay!

Front desk service was friendly. I checked in late after a long work day and she helped end my day on a positive note. The room was comfortable. A small area rug would have been nice, but the bed was comfortable and the fridge had ample room for everything.

First I can not say enough about the staff at Kohea Kai. They really made us feel welcomed from when we first stepped onto the property. Nestled right across the street from the beach and minutes drive down to Safeway and Foodland, this was the perfect location for us on our trip in Maui. It was also 8 mins from our first surfing lessons. The room was big, comfortable with a nice kitchen. While it did show some signs of age, it was lovely and homey and our kids loved it. There is a small pool and hot tub. A nice outdoor event space to just relax at night with romantic lighting. And there is one washer and dryer for guest to use at $2/load. Parking is available on property.

Front staff was excellent. Easy check in/out. Staff kept us updated on road closures to the hotel and gave us excellent directions to the hotel. I was a little nervous about staying at the hotel due to the resent storms knowing they were close to the damage but rooms were fantastic and staff was wonderful. We will be back!

The room was ok, unfortunately it flooded and leaked. We were given another room that only leaked a little, act of nature. We felt bad as most other folks left for other places and it wasn't the fault of the hotel, it was a really unusual storm. We were let down that they never asked about any of our stuff that got soaked by the flood and honestly knowing we had intermittent water availability throughout our stay, didn't offer some discount. I would still do the same thing again to try and help a business that was struggling because of an act of nature affecting them, just not this one.

this property was in the excellent walking distance for (slow semi handicap person) to the beach. the grounds were clean and quiet considering it had been raining on and off all week. (with tropical storm added at the end). The staff made this visit very pleasant. they were wonderful, amazing people.

Canceled Flight last minute room

Delta cancelled our flight after being delayed a few times due to storms. We snagged this room for the night. Front desk was great and gave us referrals for a quick dinner. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning was prefect. Front desk kept us updated throughout the night as the storms rolled in. Would definitely stay again! They are within walking distance of the ocean as well!
