clean comfortable property. The room had plenty of linens, soap, coffee and shampoo. Restaurant was very good food at a reasonable price. The only complaint I have is the road noise was loud, but was able to drown out most of it with the ac/heater fan.

What a terrific lodge and restaurant! Super cute place, clean as can be and appeared to have been recently updated. Loved everything about this place! The restaurant was super good, too! Our favorite meal on the whole trip and a wonderful way to spend our last night in South Dakota. Would love to stay here again if we are ever in the area. Fabulous place!

Powder House Lodge are cabins off of the highway going to Mount Rushmore. We stayed in a duplex. The unit was quiet (except for VERY LOUD air conditioner). The unit was clean and had everything we needed. Smaller than anticipated, but we managed. We enjoyed the small porch and sat outside before we retired for bed. The restaurant was delicious for dinner as well as breakfast. (Also some of the more moderate priced meals of our trip). Powder House Lodge is a gem and we would definitely stay here again if passing through!

We stayed in a single cute and cozy cabin (#25). Although it over looks the parking lot and is close to the road, we loved it. The restaurant is magnificent!! Just make sure to use the call ahead seating. We will definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay as the place had a cozy, cottage-like feel. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was amiable. We also had a delicious dinner at their restaurant. I recommend staying here because it's very close to Mount Rushmore.

The web site showed ideal pictures, the room could use a refresh in decor. The worst part was the air conditioner which sounded like an airplane landing above your head every 15 minutes throughout the night. The prospector cabins ( 6 side by side) are a stones throw from a very busy noisy highway. The restaurant was great and the staff went above and beyond the call of duty. The location was beautiful, set in the mountainside and 5 minutes from Mount Rushmore. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

Lovely plane to stay. You have your own individual log cabin around lots of trees. Clean quaint but on the older side. Family owned and everyone helpful and nice. Restaurant is excellent especially dinner You don’t want to miss it. Liked the place so much we stayed an extra night.
