I liked the location. It was close enough to attractions and shuttle made it convenient enough. Free breakfast was good the first day then went downhill. Restaurant closed last 2 days without notice and no toasters even available last day. The rooms were adequate and pretty clean. The outside would have been great if it did not have such a terrible odor. Most front desk people OK but one was very poor customer service. We rented a scooter one day which was fun but almost double the price of rentals downtown.

I will have to start by saying this was my worst hotel experience ever. I do not usually leave reviews or write about my trips but I think others need to be aware of this hotel issues. First, the pictures shown on the website and expedia do mot match actual hotel conditions, the rooms are small, not updated, sliding doors are rotted and bathrooms are gross. Second, this is the first hotel were we encountered roaches in the bathroom and we even pay for a sea view room, not a regular room. Third, I contacted expedia to try to get out of the hotel on the first night and just get charged that first night and the hotel refused, even in those conditions!! Not a great hotel experience or conditions, or customer service!! Please be aware when you look at this hotel that the hotel is not renovated, it looks since forever, there conditions are horrible, and in top they will not try to work with you if you have any issues.

Cockroaches in room 1st night. Ants the 2nd. Air-conditioning unit louder than a 747 engine. Breakfast was a yoghurt and a muffin. Only good thing was the free shuttle into town

Customers beware they do not have the Stone Crab Restaurant open till late October which was the huge draw to staying there as it was located in the property grounds. Then they have no ice makers working throughout the facility you have to ask for your bucket to be filled by the rude reservationist. Then God forbid you ask them for a late check out they will assess you $150.00 if you failt to check out by 11a.m. Property Grounds in ruins the rooms are decent but your overlooking the bay which is not clean and have noisy card zipping through the hwy no thank you never again! And I'm a Florida resident by the way. That says alot!

Nice stay. Wish we could have swam in the ocean - signs posted to swim at your own risk. But it was nice to have sand right outside our door. The room was cute, clean and comfortable. Not much hot water, if any. Breakfast wasn’t great either.

First of all IBIS is a global hotel brand known for modern convenient and affordable hotels. I assumed this was part of that hotel group. Couldn't be further from the truth. Like naming your hotel Hyat or Hiltom. It's an Ibis in name only. It's sandwiched in the middle of an intersection of strip malls and gas stations… In back of some sort of navy facility so that the road dead ends about 50 yards away. So if you're considering going to the beach and having a swim… Don't. When I arrived at the hotel, there was a horrible smell on the property. Sort of like the low tide at the end of the world. It's everywhere. The lobby is clean and convenient and has stores…. You can buy wine and beer and other drinks. When I realized my mistake, I asked if I could get out of the hotel reservation. This is not an ibis hotel. It's a rundown motel with carnival lights all over the property. No can do. Trapped. The bed is comfortable. My room was clean and smelled strongly of ammonia. Everywhere. I paid an upgrade fee to have a "water view" to get away from the bad smell, but that just made it worse. The "beach" place is on is actually some sort of brackish swampland that the hotel backs up to. The hotel lists the restaurant is being open till 10 PM. I went just a little after 9:30 – and was told they "closed the kitchen early" and have "nothing for you, sir". Dinner was Five Guys eaten in a parking lot. I would rather shoot myself than stay at this hotel again.
