Upon checking in, we were told the room we reserved a month prior with a king bed and ocean view was "not available". After standing firm and demanding the room we purchased, or a refund, the original room we booked all of a sudden became available again. Very shady. Other than that and the roosters outside our room that started making noise every morning at 315am, the facility was okay.

A Stay To Forget: 24 North

Without a doubt one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at, as a person who travels regularly both personally and professionally. Initially booked because the photos made property look decent, I should have paid closer attention to the under 4 Star reviews, as this hotel is like a shanty with a fresh coat of paint. I want to give credit to the service staff at the restaurants and bars on property, and groundskeepers who kept the pool and common areas clean. The pools are nice. They were lovely and did their best. The issues with our stay were related to poor management, lack of service recovery, and property condition. We booked garden rooms. Ocean View is loud, facing the highway, and the room doors were so poorly sealed it sounded like you were outside. The elevators smelled of urine and worked inconsistently. The electrical in the elevators was also inconsistent, often getting stuck. The rooms had crumbling drywall and remnants from the renovation including painters tape. Housekeeping was scanty, and didn’t change sheets, or clean. Cleaning was inconsistent. The fees the resort charged were not properly posted and you do not get anything with resort fees, except use of existing amenities. Pass on this hotel and pick someplace else, I certainly learned from my mistake!

Hotel staff was great. Hotel was extremely loud at night from rosters crowing all night outside our room. We did see two roaches in our bathroom but hey it is Florida.
