6 week stay in Katy, TX

My 6 week stay was nice, staff was very friendly and helpful, they worked with me which was very nice of them. Would definitely stay again. Only downside is that the hotel was going through renovations and they stopped serving breakfast. No discount on the rooms for lacking that.

I reserved the room from orbitz (expedia). during reservation, they did not notify that there was a renovation going on. Because of that there was not breakfast even though I reserved as breakfast included. I asked to cancel my reservation due to no breakfast. But the staff on the reception said that this should be done before 24 hours earlier. How should I have known that there was renovation and no breakfast before I arrived the hotel and processed my reservation. That was so stupid.

Zero of their listed amenities and perks were available due to construction. No breakfast, no pool, and no gym. When I asked if they were giving discounts or rebates they said they would ask the manager, and never did. I understand remodeling and things like that, but don't make it out to be your customers problem that you can't fulfill your promises.

Our room was very clean, comfortable, and up to date. Staff was very nice and helpful. They are renovating right now so they are working on the lobby, etc. it will be beautiful when completely finished. I would stay here again.

Misinformation

There was no notice this hotel is under construction. The lobby bathrooms were so filthy they appeared not to be cleaned ever. The front desk was nice and the room was clean. The hotel offered free breakfast and that was out due to construction. The indoor pool and the hot tub were out of service. I told myself to stop using hotels.com and book straight through corporate sites for this reason. I guess I will just delete this app.

Very roomy. Super comfortable bed. Plenty of parking. Good complimentary breakfast. Coffee station, mini fridge, and microwave in the room. If I find myself needing to spend the night in this area, I'll definitely stay here again.

Disappointed

It was. a 90 degree day. When we arrived the ac was off. We turned it on and went to dinner and when we returned the room was cooler but still warm and stuffy. We turned the temp down a little more before going to bed but the room never cooled down. I assume the ac has issues, I woke up numerous times due to the temperature of the room.
