Friendly staff. Nicely located 10 minutes north of the airport. Comfortable suite with living room and kitchen. Older building but has that Hawaii charm. Pool area is nice to swim, chill, and relax. Beach is a block away but not ideal for swimming, however, other sandy beaches is short drive. Next door is a shopping complex including Island Country Markets (by ABC) and variety of restaurants. The only hiccup is they didn’t have the 2 beds suite for the first night but it was a great stay all over. Home away from home.

The property is in great location and was convenient to walk to the beach and Coconut Marketplace. The unit is spacious. The kitchen and bathroom were fine and beds were comfortable. Our biggest complaint was how gross the carpet stains were in the unit. Also stains on the dining room chair cushions. Also found several dead and live bugs in the unit.

The Plantation Hale Suites is an excellent choice for those seeking a home-like experience during their Kauai stay. Each suite boasts two TVs, a spacious bedroom, a cozy living room, a well-equipped bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private lanai. The kitchen provided everything we needed for our culinary adventures. Although there were many amenities our unit was dated. Now, this may not be your experience, depending on which unit you get. The grounds are meticulously maintained and beautifully landscaped, offering a serene backdrop for our morning coffee on the lanai. The location of the suites is simply fantastic. Within walking distance, we found shops and restaurants, while a short drive away, we discovered even more options. If you’re looking for a place that combines a kitchen, living room, and bedroom, Plantation Hale Suites is the perfect choice.

convenient location

The hotel was a good choice for us because of its location. just a 30-minute trip to the North or the South. also, conveniently located to restaurants within walking distance and the beach. The unit itself needs an update. the sofa in particular needs to be replaced. can't expect much more given that the price is modest.

Our ‘ocean view’ room faced another building. Could only see the ocean from the edge of our balcony or out in the hotel hallway. No ice machines available. Ended up not using the pool because we were reprimanded for having a can of soda while sitting on pool chairs, no drinks of any type allowed. The property is dated, however it is clean and less expensive than other nearby hotels.
