This hotel is in an excellent location for proximity to St. Luke’s hospital and the Plaza. However, it is in great need of a complete renovation. But, the bigger concern for me was lack of cleanliness. They are planning to renovate soon. Hopefully, these issues will be addressed.

It was a lovely and charming atmosphere. The hotel had a very eclectic feeling to it. The parking situation was not that great, but the staff was more than willing to accommodate me. I needed to prepare materials for a business conference, and the front desk staff was very helpful by printing materials for me.

Curtains were broken, smelled weird, all breakfast was completely gone and not even cleaned by 10 AM. Parking wasn't available. Road work made coming and going a hassle.

Great beds; horrible bathroom
The bed was great. The bathroom was horrible. The tiles were falling off the shower surround and it appears it was caulked to try and make it work. Bathroom was beyond outdated and we skipped showering!! The bagel bar for breakfast was less than desirable too.

This is a great place to stay if you need to be more in town for Kansas City. The free parking was key for me, and there were two different lots with plenty of spots. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is an older hotel, and some of the common areas could use some updating, but overall it was a good stay and a good value.

I like the location of this place despite there being construction on Main Street it was still easy to get around. The staff was extremely kind and very helpful. This was a good value.

Good location in that it was in walking distance of several tourist activities. When I got in the room, the toilet didn't flush. Discovered the water valve was turned off. Turned on the valve and the toilet worked, but slowly the entire stay. The sink and tub had a slow drain, so they would eventually start to fill with water. The hotel did not have blankets, only sheets for the beds, so had to compensate with room temperature. The breakfast was a lame continental breakfast like the mid-range hotels of the 80's and 90's. Didn't even have cereal. On Saturday night it was very noisy in that area, with sirens, loud cars and parties.

The hotel is way past its prime and all of the facilities really need to be updated. The location close to the Plaza is great but it’s not very clean, nor well serviced.

I wish I could say that this property was easy to deal with but unfortunately they were not. First, the hotel overcharged me by over $200 and when I attempted to talk to the girl working the front desk about it, was simply told that it was due to the hotel authenticating my card. I never received a satisfactory answer on this by the way. Second, my room key stopped working without notice. Third, the elevator had exposed wires showing. Lastly, there was so much road construction around the property that it was tough to navigate around. Will definitely stay at the Marriot down the street next time I'm in town.

The hotel is old and not in the best of shape. The pictures make everything look significantly bigger than it really is. The furniture in the rooms is old and some of broken. Carpet is stained. The bed was decently comfortable. The breakfast is bagels and coffee. But it is walking distance to some fun things.
