Our room was clean and comfortable, but the amenities were disappointing. As a family with children we always choose hotels with pools and free breakfast. When we arrived, we were informed that the pool was closed. However, we were given the option to drive to another hotel and use their pool. In the morning, we were informed that the oven was broken so there was no breakfast. I'm not sure why the hotel couldn't set out muffins, fruit, cereal, etc. under these circumstances. Furthermore, after using the workout room I noticed a connected "sister hotel" with a full breakfast. It seems that this could have been offered as an option for Aloft guests. I understand that things don't work sometimes, but the hotel could do a little better at problem solving and accommodating guests when that happens.

We reserved a king room on expedia but was told when we got there that since we reserved through a third party they didnt have a king room for us! Never had that issue anywhere else!
