Fairmont Orchid is a truly beautiful setting. The resort grounds and property are very well laid out and maintained. Flowers and plants are gorgeous. Our room was a partial ocean view with balcony and it was great. The food was good but quite pricey, and service was slow.All restaurants and lounges were wonderful, except the Brown’s restaurant. Food good, but it had tables in sand/gravel which was uncomfortable to walk on and gets in your shoes too much. They should remove it and use tile or something. And we sat out close to the ocean which was great for a view but it was very windy and chilly, necessitating a jacket or they offered towels to wrap around you. That needs some improvement! But every staff member was polite, professional, cheerful, and helpful. Our room was clean every day just perfectly, and Solvy the housekeeper, and the pool food service guy, Kai, were superb. Overall, the resort rates very highly!! Definitely coming back!!

This is a stunning resort!! Everything is immaculate and beautiful, and the staff bends over backwards to help in any way they can. Only two downsides: Food is very expensive, even at the “low priced” deli, and getting from our room to the lobby, entrance and parking lot required taking two elevators and a lot of walking. It was great exercise but took a lot of extra time.

This resort holds events and those people take over the restaurants, the pool, the bars, the grounds, etc and it becomes a drunk, loud free for all. Very unenjoyable last few days here. You have to reserve restaurants days in advance and they are mediocre at best. Very overpriced for what you get but the staff are great and deserve a great review.

We loved the ocean view room — it was large with a comfortable bed with hypoallergenic bedding options, and it had lots of storage room for clothing — 2 closets and 4 large drawers. I have stayed in several luxury hotels/ resorts in the past and the friendly service here was beyond compare. Our only minor complaint was that the lighting could be improved in the bathroom, and there was a lack of hooks or drawers in the bathroom.

Our room was a bit worn for the money we spent. But, the view was absolutely beautiful so we looked past that. Food was delicious, but pricy. Watched whales every morning from our balcony!!!

We were thoroughly impressed with the Fairmont during our stay. The staff were exceptional, consistently going above and beyond our expectations. In particular, Jasmine was incredibly helpful and made our experience even better. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with landscaping staff diligently tending to the grounds. We especially appreciated the hotel’s commitment to reducing unnecessary waste, which reflects a thoughtful approach to sustainability. Additionally, the nearby reef offered excellent opportunities for swimming and snorkeling. A truly wonderful experience overall.

Very nice surroundings with beautiful views. Whales jumping and snorkeling with the fish and turtles. Loved the walks along the coast and relaxing by the beach. Bathroom tiles very slippery and need updating.

The staff is so friendly and kind. I have not yet explored the whole resort but what I have visited so far is great. The restaurant that does not require reservations has very healthy and delicious menu choices.

This is a top-tier resort property that delivers at that level on all dimensions. The staff is well-trained and pleasant throughout the property. The on-site dining options offer something for everyone, and there are many activities available without leaving the hotel. There are several fun places to have a drink, and they had a musician playing in at least one location every night. My wife found the shops very attractive. The concierge desk is well-staffed and informative, helping to set-up experiences around the island. The cove beach is perfect for safe swimming, and resort guests can also venture beyond for more challenging conditions. The fitness center is not large but had everything most of us need, and it was not crowded when I used it. Our only negative experience was our second dinner at the Beach House when they wrecked my steak, but that can happen anywhere (and they took it off of the bill without being asked). I recommend this property for anyone looking for a higher-end resort experience.
