It was an ok stay if you need a bed for the night but if your trying to sleep maybe ask if there's space on the top floor or somewhere away from the lounge downstairs as they were blasting music till 12:30am. Not bad for price but just think about those things when booking.

I cry a little for the Plaza's condition.

Pros: Pleasant and efficient desk staff, Delicious pub style dinner with included alcoholic drink, very friendly & helpful young gentleman waiter. Public areas of historic building well kept. Cons: (why I cry a little) Our king bed room had several small easily remedied maintenance issues - one side curtain missing entirely, the other side curtain hanging by 1 hook which just needed the little track eyes for the rest of the hooks. Vintage/antique style furniture paint was badly chipped - just needed a little bit of colour to cover those marks. The TV remote would not turn the TV on/off or do volume (the other buttons worked although we had to do the volume/on/off commands using buttons on the front of the TV.) The roller blind did not stay at the spot you rolled it to, but had to be fully rolled to the top or puddled on the sill completely rolled down. Good thing the windows actually open because we had to turn the thermostat down to 50F, run the fan, and open the window 6 inches and keep it that way all afternoon and overnight to cool the room down from 78F (the temp when we arrived.) The Plaza is such an historic and beautiful old building with a neat original 1920's Otis 3 person elevator and beautiful original wood floors and I really hate to see it come into disrepair when it could be (and has been) so much more. As a Wyndham property I implore you, please get on top of daily simple maintenance tasks to improve customer satisfaction and bring her back to her heyday

There is nothing bad to say but nothing really bad to say. We love the location. The staff were friendly. The rooms and bathrooms were average, the complimentary breakfast was below average. The advertise a pool but it's actually at the YMCA down the road. All and all it was okay but we won't be staying there again that's forsure.

Horrible customer service…. They say yes to everything with big smiles…. Nothing accomplished! Staff provided incorrect information multiple times regarding the facilities and neighborhood. I would like to save others the negative experience. Will be following up with Wyndham to report. There was no management on site to address the issues.

We found pills/drugs in our room. There was broken glass in the carpet. Could not adjust the heat was way too hot to sleep and couldn’t keep window open to cool room because there is a bar attached that was very loud. Have to pay for parking and spaces are very small. Overall not a place for families.

A very basic, "downtown" hotel that could be so much more. Fantastic building that requires a complete over haul, starting with the staff's attitude. Everyone was too much trouble and they seemed to forget that I was a paying customer. Breakfast? Where? The worst I have ever had to endure. The bar/restaurant/breakfast area was filthy, and in particular after a private function the previous evening where discarded food was strewn throughout. The noise on the Saturday night was extreme to say the least and once again the hotel appeared to forget it's customers. Stay away at all costs.

It was a good central location and staff both in hotel and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Parking when arriving felt unsafe due to many homeless/transient people in the parking lot. It did not feel safe to leave anything of value in the vehicle. The room itself was average. The area between bed and wall seemed dirty and not wide enough for a vacuum. The bathroom drain struggled to drain water and there was hair on the shower wall. The floor boards also had a solid layer of dirt on them that made the room feel dirty. Service was excellent tho and staff was very inviting and welcoming.

Having read many of the reviews on this property prior to booking I would say this hotel lands right in the middle of the good, the bad and the ugly. Check in was smooth and the front desk staff were fantastic. The breakfast although included in the stay was extremely disappointing. The first morning at (9:00 am) found the hot food table pretty much empty (hard boiled eggs only). No fruit, no hot water, and a toaster that needs to be retired. The following 3 days were better with an ample amount of hot food for the guests. The room! This hotel is not a new hotel. It has been around the block but for the price point it was okay. The question is "was it my type or clean"? "Was it a Wyndham clean hotel"? That answer would be NO! The bedding had black marks on it. The pillows had makeup smears. The bathroom floor was filthy (We washed it with a towel). The cleaning staff never came to service our room the 4 nights we stayed there. We had to have the front desk bring up coffee each evening when we returned to the room even after asking the afternoon staff to have our room serviced. If you are looking for a cheap room and are not fussy about cleanliness this is your place. The one bonus was that there was a liquor store located in the same building, so we did not have to travel to pick up a bottle of wine.
