I booked a room here and when I arrived the place was rundown and disgusting. I went to check in and they said there were no rooms available due to 'renovations'. I had already paid for a room. Now I am trying to get my money back for the room and the manager is unreachable. Definitely a scam and I cant believe Expedia even has them on here as an option. Cant believe I cant even get a refund for a place that wasnt even available to stay at.
We showed up at midnight and no one was there, a note (pictured) was left saying no rooms even tho we had a confirmed reservation. They left a phone number of a “24 hr manager “ whom we called multiple times over 1.5 hours with no reply. Our room was given to someone else, we were given no notice and received no contact from the hotel after being left in the middle of the night with no place to stay. This is unacceptable and an awful experience.
Don’t recommend this property, there wasn’t any staff onsite and we couldn’t check in. Someone was suppose to call us but we never received a call. I felt like I was in danger. The office was open but again no one was there to check us in. This property totally mis-represented itself. The pictures on the website are NOT current. It was messy, dirty and disorganized. Do not stay here!

Dear Expedia,
I didn't like that you allowed me to book a reservation at a place that has been closed for a year. I didn't like that I had to hustle to find a place to stay that evening after being on the road all day.
I cannot rate my stay at Loves Motel as they have been closed ~1yr.
We arrived at the hotel and there was no sign for office so we knocked at what we thought was the office. No one answer the door or when we called the location. There was a guy with a stroller that came by and ask if he could help and we told him we paid for a room so he said he would call them. He was on the phone and told us they would come out. He went away and no one came out. After 30 minutes we went to town and found out by other hotels that they have been closed and that the same thing has been happening all summer to other vacationers. Expedia needs to take them off their list of hotels. I’m currently trying to get my money back for a stay that did not happen.
The carpet on walk way was ripped dirty what carpet there was.
There was cleaning products in what was supposed to be breakfast area. That area was clearly one that hadn't been used for a very long time
The person working was very nice. He walked me to my room, he unlocked lobby doir with his keys. He made sure the keys worked for my room. My room had no working tv apparently someone took the roku. Room appeared fairly clean. No soap for washing hands. Not sure what the shampoo bottle was since it had something hand written on it. Towels were clean andd fairly heavyweight. Mayress was hard. Sheets appeared clean. There was a kerig machine with on coffee pod but no cup.
The pool area was closed.pool was covered cerment around was cracked and chipped.
Overall the entire place looked abandoned.
I was booked for two nights. I stayed one but just couldn't stay the second. I need a refund on second night.
It appeared the place was inprocess of being remodeled which is fabulous but don't have guests during this process.
Manager was attentive. Place in need of complete renovation. It looked like the bathroom may have begun and maybe some painting of walls started. But to be frank i've never seen so many flies so much so that a fly swatter was in my room. Thoughtful and I found it useful i give it 2 and one half stars.
Pulling up I was a little nervous about what I was walking into, but once I got inside I was very impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff was and I couldn’t believe how nice and clean the inside of my room was. If I’m ever in this area again I will definitely be staying at the Love hotel.
I had some car trouble in the National park and found this hotel and just kind of showed up. The owner was SO kind and made sure I was comfortable in the air conditioning until my room was ready. Everything was very clean and had everything I needed! Tv, air conditioning, fridge and a microwave!! He made sure I had everything I needed and made sure I knew I could contact him. It was absolutely perfect to get me refreshed and back on the road!
What I can I say? You get what you pay for. If you're just looking for a cheap place to sleep and take a shower among a tourist area of overly priced hotels, then this is a good option. It's close to the Badlands right off the highway and near gas stations. I'm not sure the real name of this place, because when we showed up, it had a different name on a banner and at the front desk. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and not too soft. Shower water pressure was great and water was hot. They have a mini fridge in the room. Free breakfast includes bagels and cream cheese, and breakfast snack bars. The owner was friendly and I could tell he's trying his best to make the place better.
And now the bad....the sheets were dirty. There were orange and red stains and pee stains on one of our bed sheets. It was absolutely gross so we only slept on one of the beds. The sink was leaking from the bottom. And lastly, there were so many flies!!!! We killed almost 15 of them when we first arrived and there were still some flying around while we slept.
