Well after a 5 hour drive I got to the hotel where I stay often (once a week every month). The girl gives me a room and as I enter the room it smelled like a wet dog had slept on the bed.
I go back down and ask to change room. She gives me another room.
This one smelled like tomato sauce... However it's a busy night so I'll sleep tonight with a sent of marinara sauce jijijij
The last two times I noticed that the cleaning ladies were sliding (lost their sense of smell for sure)...and are not being supervised as it's pretty basic to smell the bedding when you do the beds. No?
So i need a bottle of water and I see a rack of bottles in plastic bags "to give to guests". I ask for one to the same girl which was on her laptop doing home work, and as I visibly bothered her she said: sorry but they are for the silver clients... Well 4 x a month should put me in the tin or gold client category? Not sure I'll be back as I used to like this place :-(

Very Accommodating staff at the Jacksonville Tru Hotel on Airport rd.
When I first got to the hotel, I missed the playoff football I was planning to watch while taking a break off the road. the TV in my room was not working, it only read a source error, I called the front desk and ask for someone to fix it, I had to wait 60 minutes for the maintenance guy to come fix it. Also At check-in the young lady at the front desk had an obvious attitude, she was very snappy and rude. There was hair on the floor in the room beside the window and AC unit. And when I called and asked for a late check out the next day because my flight was delayed that evening I was told I couldn't stay beyond 11 AM which most hotels have 12 PM checkouts plus a one hour late checkout window. I would not recommend this hotel the Aloft Brand with Marriott is way better than these bad customers service Hilton hotels.
Reasonably priced, simple check in and check out. Quick and easy.
Only odd thing was we asked if we could have the Hilton Honors water bottle packs and they did give us one, but told us that our level in the HH program was not high enough for this perk. First I have heard of that in my many, many stays with Hilton. No big deal, just odd.
The breakfast buffet was good. I really liked the little omelets with the ham peppers and onions. Destiny was very nice to my grandma who is 83. The shampoo and conditioner product was not great. I brought my own body soap. Parking is limited.
New hotel. The check in was easy and the desk clerk was BEYOND helpful. So cheerful and appeared to really enjoy her job and interacting with the public. She gave me clear instructions on where to park, allowed over night parking for my short trip and arranged for an airport shuttle. The room was small but met my needs sufficiently. The bed was super comfortable, no complaints Fully satisfied .
