Hotel stay was good. The room is pretty outdated, average bathroom. They didn’t have any bathroom soap/shampoo/conditioner. Only a small bar of soap. I got the river view room which the view was nice. Bed was average. Great service at the front desk. Somewhat disappointed. For the price I paid for the room, I expected more.

Ashanti at the front desk was SO nice and so helpful when I checked in. She signed me up for the Hilton rewards and gave me free parking because of it, which you wouldn’t expect booking through Expedia. The two bartenders in the lounge were so kind and gave me great recommendations on where to go in the area since my concert got cancelled. The rooms are a tad outdated but still very clean and the view was amazing. No complaints for a one night stay. I would come back!! :)

The staff at hotel and attached Ruth’s Chris restaurant were fantastic however the facilities and rooms are very old and in poor shape. Fantastic bartender at the Lounge did tell me hotel will be going through remodel beginning April 2025 so would consider trying hotel again following remodel.

While the staff at this hotel was exceptionally friendly and engaging, the property itself is long overdue for renovation. The lobby creates a nice first impression, but this quickly fades upon entering the dated rooms. Our 10th floor room suffered from constant noise issues - both from the nearby bridge and mysterious clanking sounds inside the walls. The bathroom was particularly problematic with a chipped bathtub and an excessively loud exhaust fan. The exterior of the building appears neglected, with visible dirt and grime that could easily be addressed with pressure washing. Basic amenities were lacking as well - no refrigerators in rooms and outdated TVs without smart capabilities or even a decent channel selection. To add insult to injury, we were charged $22 for self-parking, yet we noticed the parking gates were left wide open throughout our stay, essentially allowing anyone to park for free. This inconsistent policy meant we paid for a service that others received at no cost. Though the wonderful staff does their best, they can't compensate for the significant infrastructure issues throughout this property.

I originally booked a double room, but upon check in, I was upgraded to a junior suite with the river front view, so I was excited about that. Upon entering my room, I was pleased with how huge the room was and not to mention the spectacular view of the river front was breathtaking. However, I was disappointed by a couple things; firstly, the carpet needs to be ripped out and replaced with one thats new and clean. The bathroom has no storage area for toiletries and the shower, even though it's huge and clean had one moveable door. To turn the water on, guaranteed that you would get wet with cold water first. The biggie for me though was, my room was perfectly placed right behind the elevators. So, my entire night was spent listening to the rumbling and roaring of the elevators into the wee hours of the morning. Can you say NO SLEEP!! Customer service and the spectacular view was a plus. But unfortunately, not enough to make me return to this Doubletree.

Worst/Dirtest Hotel in Jax

This is by far the dirtiest and worst kept hotel I have ever stayed at. My first room was filthy. Paint was peeling off the walls, the carpet was so dirty, there was mold inside the picture, the sliding glass door to the balcony did not shut. The hotel moved us out of that room into another and the only thing better was the sliding glass door shut. The bathrooms were dirty. The showers had mold and would not drain so we had to wear our flip flops to shower. Neve stay here again

Our check in was disastrous- the clerk checked in someone else with same last name to our room and kept telling us we checked in already. We insisted we didn’t and she gave us keys. The room was occupied by the folks she put in our room. Then after thinking it was fixed we went to the SECOND room and it was occupied! We mentioned it to the Housekeeping Supervisor (Tenesha) and she took us back to the front desk, they assigned another room and she went and checked it for us while we waited in the restaurant. I appreciated her help but the whole process took 2 hours! Then finally got in a room that was clean (except carpet stains), but definitely needed updating. The bathroom was small, the shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor and the king bed sink in the middle. Only highlight was the river view but the patio door was broken. We would not stay here again.
