This was our 1st visit to Amelia Island..we originally booked with the Mariott but it was expensive as Mariott is. We then changed for a, mom and pop hotel across the street from the Mariott. Saved us $300( ). It was good, cleanliness was excellent. The staff were inviting and sweet..The room had a comfy King bed, and all the amenities we needed..They except pets for a fee. Parking was not a problem. Hot breakfast in the morning was ok.The best thing is location. The Beach is a few minutes walk (2/3 at most). Same as the Mariott. There are 2 restaurants that we dined at again walking distance. The Sandbar and Good Life Salt Shack. Both nice ocean views.. The hotel was quiet, had a pool and gym. We would highly recommend a stay here. If your looking for classier, for $300 more the Mariott is across the street. Also the hotel is next door to Fort Clinch which was amazing and a must see..

Fantastic location and amenities

Fantastic overnight stay just a short walk to the beach, and very close to a park, skate park and restaurant. Beautiful lobby with great seating for breakfast. I love that there were bikes and wagons available to use and included in the nightly cost. We will definitely be back.

Staff friendly, we were in a room that was close to a street and it was hard not to hear the traffic noise. Dispensers in the bathroom were empty, Breakfast was just okay. Be prepared to pay $12 a night for parking. Plumbing needs to be updated.

The coffee maker in our room was disgustingly filthy. No hooks in the bathroom to hang towels up. Usually, there is a pen and paper on the desk -no such thing! I Didn't dare try the ice machine for fear of mold. Coffee didn't taste like anything but watered down whatever and the breakfast wasn't anything to brag about. My husband wanted ketchup for his eggs, and they acted like they never heard of it!! We won't stay there again.

Great for families who want to walk to the beach

The room with 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa was nice and big for our family. The beds were so comfortable—I want this mattress! The location of the hotel is great if you want to walk to the beach. The breakfast was ok, but I wish there were more options. The staff was friendly.

The good- We liked being right next to the entrance of Fort Clinch. Parking fee was waived, due to being fully booked & having to park in the restaurant lot across the street. The front desk peeps were friendly, and helpful. The bad-The bathroom was unclean at check in, so I wiped everything down, even the entire floor. The couch fabric was yuck, but we just covered with a sheet.

I made the reservation through Expedia. I did not know there was a $22 charge for parking. I called to see about getting an early check-in and was told absolutely not- not until 4:00. The tv remote didn’t work had to call about that. There was no hair dryer in the room. There was very loud young men next door that kept slamming their door and the one at the end of the hall. We had our small dog with us and every time they slammed the door she barked. We complained once but it continued until well past midnight. It was easily within walking distance to the beach and nice restaurants. And it was clean and smelled nice. There is no trash can out by the grass to throw dog bags in but a sign to clean up after your dog. Where are you supposed to put it??

It was a great property for an overnight visit. Being charged a parking fee was a bit disappointing and surprising. You could literally park in the huge parking lot next door for free and see your vehicle from most of the rooms.
