I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It is closer to most of the tourist attractions and excellent restaurants. The hotel staff are amicable and supportive.

Rooms not as described on Hotels.com

Room was not as advertised. We paid for a Family Room, described on Hotels.com as on the top floor with 2 King beds and a Single bed. We arrived and were put in a street-level Triple Room (smaller, with 3 single beds). When we queried it, we were told to discuss with the manager the next morning. We spoke to the manager at breakfast, and he told us that there are no rooms with 2 King beds and 1 Single bed in the hotel, but eventually agreed to move us to another room on the top floor (away from the street-level noise) with 3 Single beds, which was slightly larger. No rebate offered. Rooms were generally clean, except for the tops of wardrobes, which were filthy. Don't put your towel up there to dry like I did!

Property needs renovation( wallpaper with dirty marks everywhere) , heating too low and no way to control it,heating does not work in washroom ( snow/freezing outside), washroom door lock does not work, no garbage basket in room, tea pot handle burns hand, property on Hill hard to walk if you are with children although location close to mosques, reception had a teenager kid with minimal language skills , could not report problems to him. Very bad experience.

The location of the hotel is too much practical for visiting historical and shopping places. Cosy hotel and calm. The service was fast and on demand. Except one little remark, the bending bed should not be taking out from the room without prior notice. Regards

My brother and I reserved 2 rooms June 12 - June 27th. Due to personal circumstances we had to leave on the 22nd . We notified the owner/manager on the 18th (4 days prior) that we were leaving earlier and when we asked about the policy of early check out he said “ you will only for the nights you stay”. He even booked our Airport Transfer Taxi- after Contacting Expedia for refund the Hotel has denied our refund for the 5 nights for both rooms - saying that they were not notified that we we were leaving earlier . Dishonest to say the least! What was a decent experience turned to a disappointing end. I am definitely not going back to Sultanahmet Cesme Hotel and will make sure my friends ,family and beyond are aware of this. It’s not so much about the money they’re taking from usanymore ,it’s the fact that they’re lying about it.

Great location

I had a good stay at the hotel, very convenient. It's a walking distance to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The manager and the attendants were very welcoming. Overall, a good experience.

Could have been better

Booked the hotel based on excellent previous reviews. We were given a much smaller room to stay in than the one we booked. Then the next day we were given the correct room. Honestly the stay was not so good, the hotel needs some renovation and they are doing some maintenance, and it is in a steep hill. The cleaning is not good. The breakfast is good though.

We finally didn’t stay at the Cesme Hotel because there was an issue with the water in the room. However the owner of the hotel IMMEDIATELY moved us to another hotel of the family and upgraded to a nice room. Our stay was fabulous and personnel in both hotels was very helpful and friendly. They assisted us with tours reservations and information of the city. Breakfast was ok with coffee and tea and other alternatives of cheese and ham, eggs and local cuisine. I recommend their hotels. Very well located.

The property was at a very convenient location. The whole hotel staff was very friendly and like a family. They took care of us in every means. They even cooked some good turkish foods for us as complimentary. I will always go and reside at this hotel.

Friendly and cheap

This place was really good value for money and the hosts were very helpful. The beds were really comfortable and it is so close to the old centre of Sultanahmet with the most amazing sights. I would stay here again. The only disappointment was the rooftop which is being renovated.

Nice clean little hotel close to city centre and aminities...Manager and staff are very warm and helpful. Has a beatiful terrace view...Not very luxuruy but recomended as bargain choice...
