When I checked into this hotel the entire lobby was rented out by a private party for 2 days. I have been to many hotels in my lifetime never seen a lobby of a hotel rented out for a private party. Question to hotel management where do you expect your hotel guests to sit and relax when the lobby is off limits for a couple of days?

The Pera Palace is a beautiful hotel. Its history is unmatched and its location is in walking distance to many sites and public transportation. The staff are friendly, accommodating and professional. If I were to return to Istanbul, I would definitely stay at the Pera Palace again!

Fantastic hotel in the coolest, most vibrant neighborhood, convenient to explore other areas of Istanbul. The hotel is a classic, old style palace, beautifully decorated and ornate without being gaudy. Our room was very nice with a balcony, comfortable bed and great bathroom products. The staff is fantastic!!!! All very friendly, with excellent recommendations and 1st class hotel concierge service. Highly recommended ! Very nice palace. good location . A bit noisy at night and view on works from our rooms. Otherwise all good, nice staff and a Good Surprise with the ataturk room and the history of this nice place. (Missing prayer direction in the room)
