Great Location!

The Galata Times Hotel was a bit of a surprise, both good and bad. The location is wonderful as it is close to the Galata Towers, the famous Istiklal Street and a plethora of hotels and shops. We’ve eaten at the lovely rooftop restaurant at this hotel before, but we’ve never stayed at this hotel. Unfortunately, the room was much smaller than I had expected. There was a terrible odor of sewage in the hallway and in the room. And there were hairs on my boyfriend‘s pillow. The mattress was a little harder than I preferred. The shower was amazing and the bathroom was spacious. One of the best things about this hotel is the staff. They were kind, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is the other best thing about this hotel. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Kudos to Resit, Barrett, Hasan and Yusel. Thank you for taking great care of us.

Great hotel. Exceeded my expectation. Renovated and all conveniences. Walking to Istiklal and Galata Tower. Metro is right outside door. Buses are aroubd the corner. Breakfast was delicious. And view from Breakfast place was breathtaking. Only downside is the staff during breakfast doesnt really offer any help or ask. They just stand and watch. Also they cover the bread out of reach. Not sure why. Otherwise best hotel in the area. I would stay again.

Unfortunately, I will not come back to this place and there are Two reasons… noise from out of the window cars beeping and people yelling from 2-6am and second, which is main one the smell in the room coming out from the bathroom and looks like there is a big sewage problem…. It’s toxic and not pleasant to smell.

Stayed here in 2022 and came back because it was located in a great area (a walk away from Galata Tower and Istiklal Caddesi). The staff are lovely and very accommodating and overall a great place to base yourself if you want to explore Istanbul! the galata tower view from the rooms is a plus!

Great Location

Overall had a great experience at Galata Times Hotel. Hotel was clean, comfortable, and great location. Would definitely stay there again. Ohhh, and the complimentary breakfast is worth the stay.

The property is very ideally located if you like to spend more time in the Galata side. Saltbae Burger is close too! Rishit and everyone else on the front desk was great. Breakfast is super tasty! Only thing I would say is it would be great if the rooms are a little bigger but not much can be done about that.

Stayed at Galata Times Hotel on Sept 28- Oct. 1. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Thank you, Rahmi & Reshit for making us feel welcomed during our stay in Istanbul, Turkey. Also, the rooftop 106, server are very patient with us, they waited until we finished eating. Best believe, this hotel gives excellent service.

The hotel is situated in a very good location with good transport. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has an amazing view with nice small selection for breakfast. The only thing is the rooms could be bigger with better sound proof and the restaurant didn’t have great variety for lunch/dinner.

Excellent location and hotel.

Excellent location, if you have a car hired there’s literally a car park across the road. The view from the top floor restaurant is outstanding. We had two family connected rooms, very good overall.

Booked a superior room, on arrival room was really small without a window, nothing superior about it, upgraded to a room with a window , still small room, staff fantastic, very noisy in next room
