We really enjoyed our stay at Amara Cay Resort. Wonderful staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. Gorgeous location on the Atlantic side of Islamorada. Beautiful pool area and tiki bar.

The property was great, but I had reserved a room with an ocean view and did not receive that. However, the staff and overall property was amazing. The room was clean but stark of additional furniture and making it feel inviting. The property had lots of offer for free (kayaks, shuttles to other properties, games on the beach, fire pits at night and almost daily live entertainment. Great place, low key and relaxing.

Ok, but not enough for the price.

Stay here was nice, rooms are pretty clean, stairwells & doors are dirty. Food and drink are ridiculously expensive, and no vending machines. I ended up going offsite & buying beer & snacks. No microwaves in room. And no real beach. Its just a drop off with stairs to water. Room was very comfortable and pool was great. Thats about it. For the price of admission, you'd think a free breakfast every morning woul be included. Again, we went off site for that. It was very relaxing and quiet however.

Reception desk staff accommodated our early arrival by giving us access to the hotel grounds and contacted us when our room was ready. Lobby, reception and grounds were very well maintained and all staff encountered is personable and engaging.
