The remodeling was nice, and the staff was very kind and helpful. The security of the room, and resort in general, was not great. The lack of clear signage and Google maps sending us down the road made it a little hard to find.

We had the place almost all to ourselves. It was very clean and quiet. Had a problem with check in and got it all taken care of the following day. The front desk woman was fantastic friendly and very informative and helpful. This will be a place we come bacl to again.

Great place to stay
We had a great time at snow River resorts. They have renovated a lot of the property recently, and we had an amazing time with the kids at the pool and hot tub. The property also has an amazing set of waterfalls, and we had a great time exploring around those. The workers were very friendly, and Kyle gave us some great advice on local hiking, etc. We visited copper peak, presque River, the porkies, black River harbor, Lake Superior, and lake of the clouds while we were there. This is a great location for all these experiences.

Checkin was at 4 pm. We arrived around 5:30 to find no attendant, but an envelope with instructions. That was fine, but the written note indicated that we should not open the windows due to spraying for bugs. The room was unbearably hot and the air conditioner was not cooling. We had to open the windows, but only two of the three opened. It still took most of the night to cool. And we never saw anyone spraying for bugs. For checkout, we were instructed to leave the keys at the desk. There was no one there and we had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to show. Coffee was available at the desk, but the creamer curdled as it was added to the coffee. We had to throw it out. Desk staff was not very friendly or helpful. The pool and hot tub were nice though. This place may be okay to stay at in the winter for skiing, but I don’t recommend it for a summer stay.

This was a very nice place. It is very quiet in the summer. The only thing that I would caution is that if you have any need to call them, you will not get a hold of anyone. And, if you check in during a time when no one is working it could be extremely confusing.

A great place to relax off season
Very nice. I went off season in Augusr and stayed for one night. My room was clean and very quiet as it was off season. I stayed in a room in one of the chalets . I had a view of the ski summit from my room. They have a restaurant on site which is very convenient. There is some great nature to walk around from your room so very relaxing.

It had an old school ski resort vibe, which I liked. I brought microwaveable meals to eat, only to find there was no microwaves in the rooms. Bummer! There was a place in the room's cabinetry for a microwave so they were evidently removed. The one man band in the attached bar was obnoxiously loud and never took a break. Conversation was impossible. I came to socialize with friends. Wasn't possible.

Signage for the resort did not match the reservation so it took awhile to actually find the hotel. Obviously this is out of season for a ski centered place but it was the bare minimum acceptable.

Sweet Little Lodge
This place was great. The room was updated nicely and was clean and comfortable. My only comment would be that it would be convenient to have another mirror outside the bathroom so 2 people can get ready at once. The only reason I gave a 4 for service was that no one was at the desk when we arrived. They made a great effort and left me a voicemail with instructions but unfortunately there was no cell service when we arrived and I couldn't listen to it again lol. We did figure it out - I recommend this place.
