Nice stay but slower service than usual
Beautiful hotel and I always enjoy staying here, but the service was a little bit slower than expected on this stay. It took 25 minutes for my food order to be taken in the bar despite me asking if I could place it myself. Check-in was also very busy and my room was also not ready at 3:45 pm so I had to wait for the key and effectively check in twice. Bar staff need be more attentive and I think an extra staff member on reception could be beneficial. Other than that the room and food were excellent as usual.

Lovely venue as always and pleasant staff. Enjoyed the swim facilities and the room was perfect. Unfortunately above the venue for reception or party and band played until 1am - had children wanted to get to sleep and were unsettled.

Ooops….
We arrived slightly earlier but shortly thereafter, we did receive a call from reception when our room was ready, which was in the annexe, which we appreciated. We were told there should a complimentary dram for us but they didn’t actually have any whisky!! When it came to breakfast, not all options were available and the cooked prepared breakfast, according to the rest of the group, was just ‘ok’

Definitely stayed at better 4 star hotels
We found the staff very friendly however the hotel needs updating. Our room was disappointing unfortunately. The bedding was very cheap with no additional blankets available. The wall mirror had a crack and there was dust throughout. The bathroom extractor fan wasn’t working which we reported to the gentleman at the reception desk on arrival but this wasn’t addressed or fixed. We’ve definitely stayed in better 4 star hotels. We did have a meal in the restaurant one evening which was amazing. Exceptional food and service, just unfortunate that the hotel room wasn’t up to standard.

Good choice in Inverness
Quick efficient check-in, room spacious and well appointed with a comfortable bed. Large shower but water flow could have been better. No solid soap supplied, only liquid from a dispenser, but this may be more eco-friendly? Staff friendly. Parking very limited, I had to park in a unofficial space beside a wall, but the hotel appeared to be full on the night I stayed so probably would be OK if the hotel was quieter.
