The bed was broke, had a dip in the middle. Didnt sleep great for 2 nights. On the weekends the restraunt has a "continental" breakfast, it's sub-par. I wish they would have the weekday menu for breakfast, theres more options and it's better.

This was a nice hotel overall, we stayed a week and had everything we needed right there, meals at the restaurant were very good and reasonably priced, our eggs were made to perfection every morning and the severs are quick and very polite. We hung out at the bar and shot pool and enjoyed the fire pit inside the bar itself. Only complaint would be the pool area, no working bathrooms and dressing area was closed. The jacuzzi needs a good cleaning, the tiles were dirty and soap scummy, and the hot sauna was so hot I felt my face melting the second i stepped in with no way to adjust the temp. Don’t mistake the wooden one in front of the jacuzzi, that’s just for show, I guess… There were No signs to indicate the working sauna is to the left by the bathrooms, I found it trying to find a place to change out of my wet suit. I thought I’d give it a try but couldn’t get the temp adjusted.

We have always liked staying at the Shilo and appreciated its old charm. This stay we were met with many burdens. We got 3, yes 3! Noise complaints. The first one I could understand as my 6 yr old was excited and the walls are thin. However the 3rd complaint came late at night with the other guest being irate. At this time my daughter was asleep and husband and I were quietly eating dinner. No music or tv on. The next morning housekeeping knocked and without time to respond walked into our room an hour before checkout time. We said we would be checking out at 11am at the scheduled time. We then went to breakfast down stairs. We were served the wrong meals but just gave up. Upon returning to our room at 10:20am we discovered the key cards did not work. My tired kid and I had to sit on the floor of the dirty hallway while my husband went down stairs to get a new key card. He was first told uhhh it’s probably not working cause it’s time to check out. My husband kindly reiterated that check out was at 11am. I don’t believe I’ll be returning and will take my business elsewhere.
