What a dumpster.
Where do I begin? We arrived and the room was missing the AC remote control. Then the ceiling above the bunk bed spaces were loaded with cow webs with dead bugs. Then the bathroom had mosquitoes. You’d think putting a hotel near a pond you’d put bug screens on the windows? Nah, why bother? The window was open therefore mosquitoes were present. Mgmt’s solution? To spray Raid (Baygon) in the room we were to sleep. Eventually Service came and cleaned the webs and dead bugs. Here comes the finger. This is a desert spot where you do sand surfing and buggy driving in the hot sun for hours. You’d think what a nice shower awaits you to end the day. Man, cold water only and I found there was no soap or shampoo in the dispensers after I started showering. It took them an hour plus to send motel soap and shampoo. Don’t bother complaining, there’s no leadership, it’s run by Teens seems like. Did they offered to fixed it you’d ask? I’m still waiting from upper mgmt to contact me and give me my money back. The whole ordeal cost me precious sleep for me and my family. We had to leave for a tour at 6:30am. Won’t ever come back and won’t recommend it to anyone with family.
Nowhere in the description does it say the place has loud parties even on weekdays until 2/3am. I only found out the day of my arrival when they message me that if I want a quiet place they could arrange another accommodation, but their solution was a hotel 100 soles more expensive per night and with a lower rating, which is ridiculous. If I knew I wouldn't not be able to sleep, I would never have booked this place. The room itself was clean but there were a lot of marks and stains on the walls.
Huacachina itself is the party final-destination. As a non-partier, Huacachina felt like a final city within the oasis with statues, history, hammocks, and a pool. The rooms were clean and actually pretty quiet in relation to the sound outside. No TV, but after a week of non-stop action, the quiet was nice.
We stayed one night at the hostel and had no complains. The showers worked well, dinner options and the food and drinks were good and we slept comfortably. The music was quite loud but we had been warned as its a hostel meant for a younger clientele but it didnt bother us too much. Overall good stay and good value for money. Staff were friendly and let me borrow an iphone charger for the night which I appreciated!
Everything was amazing and the staff was so so great. The only thing I would say is that even though they do warn you that it’s a party hotel and the music will be loud, it’s way way louder than I expected and the earplugs don’t do much to cover it. We only stayed one night so it was totally fine for us but keep that in mind. Also they say breakfast is included but that’s just coffee and cereal. The rest you have to pay for! But those are small details! Overall it was an awesome place and the staff was so cool! ❤️

If you want a proper party hostel, this is for you. Where the hotel turns into a club with bouncers and ticket sales, starting at 4 pm and doesn’t stop until 4 am. We stayed here 3 nights which was way too long - it is impossible to get any sleep here unless you’re passing out drunk at 4 am for the whole bed shakes with the speakers.
I would recommend one night here while the party environment is exciting, anything else is way too much.
All the reception staff were lovely but the barman with sunglasses was very rude. On my arrival I asked in Spanish for 2 beers and he either didn’t quite hear me over the deafening music or my Spanish wasn’t perfect but he got me one beer from the fridge he was stood next too. When I said sorry could I have one more please he had a full on go at me! The most ridiculous thing is the beer fridge was an arm reach away, hardly back breaking to grab another one!
It’s a party hotel and they had karaoke night when we stayed and it was very loud. The employees are the ones who were louder, understandable because they would like people to stay and order drinks and food. Good thing that the electricity went off, karaoke night finished earlier. Power didn’t come back until after a few hours.
The location is perfect and the room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable, but the listing said it was for a room with 3 twin beds and that is not an option. They also did not require anyone to uphold the quiet hours starting at midnight. It was very noisy all night long.
Great atmosphere with lots of activities and friendly staff. The place is not built for any kind of rain - the downpour we experienced highlighted the lack of waterresistant roofing and water ingress into the suite. Noise from the underground bar was also a bit bothersome.
