So clean!

This best western was the cleanest one I have ever stayed at. There was a security guard at the door that only allowed guests inside as well as a blocked parking lot that was patrolled and controlled by security.

You can hear people walk upstairs at midnight. We woke up at 3:30am because people upstairs walked and moved around for almost an hour. After they stopped , we tried to sleep late, they started walking again. Its terrible. When you need to sleep after long hours of driving but you can’t.

My Two Night Stay at Best Western West Dallas

I had stayed at this place before (June 2019). While I was driving to reach this Best Western, I was worried about keeping my reservation (since the traffic on Westheimer in Houston was terrible). I called the front desk and the guy who answered assured me that my reservation was solid. The location is pretty decent...just a short distance west of the downtown Houston area. There was a Kroger and HEB in the general area. As far as comfort, people have their preferences as far as pillows. I personally prefer softer pillows while the hotel pillows were fairly firm. I mad do. One thing that I didn't like was the smoking area out in front, close to the entrance. I didn't care to smell the awful cigarette smoke so close to the front entrance. Aside from that, everything was okay. The breakfast was wonderful. I am an early riser, so I woke up by 6:00 a.m. to eat the breakfast provided by Best Western.

The picture of the pool on the web site was misleading. It was very small and not heated. There were no recycling containers on the property to recycle glass/plastic or cans. Also no option to decline housekeeping to decease water usage. For example only towels on the floor needed to be changed, and decline changing of sheets every day. Both of those changes really help save water and energy. Staff for the most part were friendly and helpful. Thank you
