Keep coming back for 25 years.
We have been coming to this hotel once or twice a summer for 25 years. Its a great location on the water and close enough for us to walk to the restaurants and breweries downtown. As a kid I loved the pool, and now my kids enjoy it while I sit in the hot tub. The breakfast always has a good selection especially with the waffle station.

I made a reservation a month in advance and then two weeks later was offered the option of upgrading to a second-floor lake view room which I accepted for an additional $10. When I arrived I was told that no lake view rooms were available. My question is why was this offered if it wasn't available?

Safe, quiet, waterfront property with kind, attentive staff and clean, comfortable rooms. Easy 5 minute walk along the waterfront to downtown Houghton. Free breakfast including waffles and jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches was nice too. Plenty of parking. Did have a little noise from floor above but not enough to disturb our sleep. Would stay here again.

This is the most clean and beautiful Super 8 we've ever stayed in. The staff were all wonderful - full of that UP personality. Our favorite thing was sitting on the back deck along the water and watching the sunset over the water.
