All round excellent accomodation.
Rooms were spacious and well appointed. The chicken curry I had for dinner was one of the best I have ever eaten. Holiday Inn has proven to provide great accomdation for the night before early flights both at Gatwick and in Melbourne.

The shuttle service was the main reason we even booked this hotel and it was so convenient. We arrived early to just drop our bags off and it was really nice of them to keep it for us before check in. The staff was very friendly, it was very busy and the line was every long but they apologized for the inconvenience. I like that they offer room service and also a 3 course meal, it was very nice to have that option since we were traveling we didn’t really want to leave the property. Overall a good and clean hotel close to the airport.

Arrived late for a next day flight, no cot in the room but someone very quickly brought it up for us. The room was very hot and no sound proofing from other guests in the corridors. Plane noise also loud but we chose a hotel on the airport so can’t complain. Our main trouble is that parking was non existent when we arrived, and with a two year old sleeping we hastily parked on grass after being told to by reception. The following morning we were stuck in the mud after a night of rain. Luckily a kind receptionist got some guys to come help us and after maybe half hour we were out. Although sewage was coming out of the we’d mud and we could smell this from our trainers when at the airport. We also had to pay to park which seems crazy when it was on a random piece of grass.

The first room we were provided had hair everywhere, crumbs all over the floor, multiple flies/bugs buzzing around the room, it was filthy. We were then moved to a different room which was slightly cleaner and only had two bugs buzzing around, a wasp and a fly. AVOID. The rooms are disgusting. Stains and filth everywhere. I can't imagine what the hotel rooms would look like under a blacklight...

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the above-bath shower was good. Lighting in the room was very dim though and the temperature control didn't seem to work. Our main complaint would be about service in the restaurant. Service was very slow and although staff were friendly, there were mistakes and omissions with the order, we had to ask for cutlery and it was hard to attract attention to get the bill. We had a 3 year-old with us who really needed to get to bed quickly after eating, so it was very frustrating.
