It is close to everything and an easy walk. The beach is one block away. The hotel has everything you could want, a convenience store, recreation room, pool, clean and comfortable rooms, and a really great staff!

Service was excellent, and the building looks decent. Food is awesome Just don’t forget that you will have to pay for parking unless you’re lucky. If you can book in advance then do so. Disliked the small shower and bathroom in general. Be mindful of the Amenities fee too.

The staff are ver friendly and very helpful. The bathrooms need to be updated and the tv’s too. The hotel was in a great area with everything being walkable. I also wish the pool was given some love because it felt like the pool was an afterthought.

I didn't like the surprise Resort fees of $270 when I arrived and had already paid $1200 for the room. My room wasn't ready at 3 pm and I had to wait in the lobby and continue to check in for over an hour and a half.

Rooms are very old and small. There are also small beds, not queen size. Breakfasts was not bad - rise/potato, eggs, salad, fruits, yogurt, some buns, bread, oat, cereals, juice. (My advice for you, please add pancakes or waffles.) My 3 stars are just for staff. Staff are very kind, the cleaning ladies are wonderful.

The rooms were very clean and set up well. There are some dishes, cups and silverware in the room. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Always ready to help. The location is amazing just 1 block from Waikiki Beach.

How does a destination so rich in beauty allow a hotel to be so poor in upkeep. The photographic representations of the property on Expedia were cleary taken after the renovation in 2008. That renovation was cosmetic at best. The original 1970 broken louver windows still exist in the guest bathrooms and through out the HVAC common hallways? The sliding glass doors to the balconies are original from the 1970 construction. These provide no insulation from the heat, or the pounding club music echoing into the night from the adjacent business.

Waikīkī Resort offers a comfortable, clean, and incredibly convenient stay right in the heart of Honolulu. Just a quick 5-minute walk to Waikīkī Beach and about 10 minutes to the Honolulu Zoo, the location is prime—with endless shops and food spots surrounding it. It’s the perfect base for exploring the island while enjoying resort-style comforts. The amenities are top-notch for the price: free daily breakfast (delicious and buffet-style with tons of options), a pool, convenience store, rental cars, excursions desk, laundry services, game rooms, and even a dedicated microwave room. On top of that, there’s a brunch restaurant, a nightclub, and daily yoga and meditation sessions for guests—nice touches that really elevate the experience. While my overall stay was great, my check-in experience could’ve been better. The staff member who helped me was inattentive and a bit rude, assigning me to an already-occupied room and then blaming the mix-up on me—even though he had written the wrong room number on the envelope. Thankfully, another helpful staff member stepped in and resolved the issue quickly. If not for that rocky start, everything else ran smoothly. Despite that hiccup, I’d definitely stay at Waikīkī Resort again—just maybe not with that same clerk. The location, value, and amenities make this a strong pick for travelers looking for comfort and convenience in Waikīkī.
