Great staff. Decent room. Next to shopping and the beach. Its cheap. But safe,clean, quiet. No they dont hold luggafe after checkout, but the airport does for $25 a bag! We will keep coming back!

The staff are incredibly friendly and we appreciated the security of the facility. Just be aware, I would not consider your room private. These are shutter style windows, meaning - there is no glass. Only a screen with shutters you can open or close. You will hear people walking by your room. And…folks walking by will hear you too. The sheets and pillows are incredibly thin. We opted to sleep using our travel neck pillows. I did love how cold the air conditioning got, and the location and price really make it difficult to rate it less than 3 to 4 stars. For folks that just need a room, this is probabaly perfect. For couples wanting a romantic retreat, just consider what I mentioned above.

This place is in the heart of Waikiki- location is amazing! Actual stay, below expectations. The pictures appear better than reality. Please know: the hotel doesn’t have glass windows- it’s wood frames, with a screen and wooden 1960s shutters for blinds. The walls are cement blocks and you can hear EVERYTHING. The plus was the loud AC unit to drown out the street and guest noise. You can hear someone’s phone conversation. Location is prime, actual rooms left must to be desired even from our thrifty traveler’s budget. The price was not aligned with the accommodations. The $25/night amenity charge is absurd, the pool is in the shade, and no one swam in that pool for the days we were there. The staff is friendly and kind. But again, the rooms were below the expectations for the price.

There is no baggage hold at the property, but check in is not until 3pm. Tried to book check in early but no rooms were cleaned (fair enough) but when we go to the room the bathroom was filthy with visible ants and dirt. Cheap hotel and that is what you pay for. Only 2 parking spots for 50 rooms so book that if you need it.

I thought it was great for the price! So many places in Hawaii are older, so be prepared for some vintage features. I felt very safe staying at this hotel. It is located in the best possible spot, within 5 minutes of everything. Staff was friendly, and the grounds were kept extremely clean and tidy. We enjoyed the washer/dryer on location as well. I liked that the courtyard gate locked each night (you are given a code). The rooms have old fashioned screens with slats instead of windows. This meant it was a bit loud. I was happy sleeping with ear plugs. All in all- I would stay again!

Stayed here for the location, price, and the kitchenette. In addition to the price on Expedia there is a $25/day “amenities fee” once you show up which as far as I can tell goes towards the little pool, room towels, and little bar soaps. They don’t do house keeping unless you’re there for 7 days or more (at which point they will do house keeping on day 4). You can pay for more housekeeping for $15 per visit, scheduled in advance. The kitchenette does not come with dish soap or sponges despite the “amenities fee” so we had to go out and buy these amenities in order to wash dishes. There are laundry machines you can use ($4 in quarters for washer dryer) which is good. You cannot exchange cash for quarters from the front desk however which was inconvenient. The amenities fee does not cover laundry soap either so we had to buy that as well ($3/load if buying from the hotel). Location was great. Staff was friendly and professional. We made a lot of use of the kitchenette.

Very bad and borderline false advertisement.

Pictures of the place were nowhere near what was posted. There’s no windows, no updates or renovations since what it seems like 1902. Walked in the room and walked right out because there was no way i was staying there.

Great for the money!

Very friendly, easy check in just wish they had storage as we had a late flight. Wish we were able to have access to the back gate code as it would have been convenient also. Nothing major, I will definitely book again when we return.

The location is good, everything is close by. You’re literally one and a half blocks from the beach. The only thing is that they got a big ant infestation problem. They should hire a professional pest control company to take care of this problem. What they’re doing is having their in-house cleaning/maintenance people spray the room. They had to do it 3 to 4 times in our over two weeks stay. I have two small children that are under the age of seven and they were waking up with bites every morning. We have ants crawling all over our toothbrushes towels, clothing. And when we complained, the staff wasn’t too happy and they finally changed our room after our third night there. With no luck the room had also an ant problem. We only use the room to sleep at night and bring in late. We try not to be there.
