Decent place to shower and sleep but that was about all of it. There should be no resort fee in my opinion. Also, front desk needs to be honest. Asked for late checkout and was told that they cannot because they are completely booked. Then why are there still several rooms available online?? Including the same type room we were in?? If you can’t do it, just say so but don’t tell me it’s because you’re completely booked. Not worth the price they were asking. Would rather pay less at The Twin Fin, at least they are literally across the street from the beach.

I would say this is a good to very good property to stay at little older rooms are smaller, but very convenient to international marketplace Royal Hawaiian was clean. Staff was very attentive parking can be an issue. Make sure you have a smaller car. Overall was pleased with the value would stay there again.

The first thing I noticed was that we were greeted with a warm welcome and smiles at midnight when we arrived. The lobby was well kept and the staff were very helpful. They explained the parking, recommended different places to eat and some attractions and activities we might be interested in. We were checked on daily via text and if there was any issues it was taken care of promptly. Check out was a breeze although we were sad that we had to leave. Yes I would recommend the Waikīkī Malia.

Touring Waikiki on a budget
Booked this hotel upon arrival in Waikiki.I was on a budget and for the price was very pleased.I-HOP was right next door and one of the nicest ones I've ever seen.Room was clean and surrounding hotel areas.Eco friendly too.Close to everything and walking distance to the beach.Staff very helpful and answered any concerns immedietely.Has a tour operator inside hotel if you need to book a tour and also extremely helpful.The decor was peaceful and I booked also because of the pictures on hotels.com and the reviews.We were very pleased with choosing this hotel compared to the others in the area since the price was competitive and we were able to book several tours for our 5 day stay in Waikiki.
