The hotel was close to the beach and the staff were pleasant. That's about all I have to say that was good about it. Our room was so small we had zero space to move around. Our patio doors were purposefully locked due to construction on the hotel, as was the pool so we had to walk to a different hotel to use their pool and we were offered no compensation or discount for the inconvenience and lack of fresh air in the room. The breakfast was fine but you had to wat it in your room if you didn't want to be attacked by pigeons. And when using the gym in the morning everyone for the buffet was cutting through the small fitness room.....hundreds of people. I would not recommend nor will I be stayijg there again.

Parking is limited and always full. The bath was full of hair upon our arrival and the shower curtain smelled bad. Elevators are always full, plan to spend 10 min waiting to get in. The resort fee and parking for 5 nights came up to almost 600 dlls. The beds are comfortable and the staff is nice. The hotel is located in a very good area. There is alot of places near to eat and shop. The beach is less than 5 min walk. Breakfast is ok.

The quality of this location is probably bottom of the barrel for a hotel. I have stayed at this location once before approximately 5 years ago. Five years ago, the quality of the hotel breakfast was amazing, the entirity of the location was clean and felt modern. That was the reason I chose to stay at this location again. This time around, the quality of the hotel breakfast and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was so bad. One day they served pre made breakfast sandwiches from Jimmy Deen and the quality was terrible and dry. This location needs some serious upgrades for the price we paid a night. To access the breakfast area, you had to walk through their hotel gym. Who wants to smell sweat and BO before they head into breakfast? Not to mention the wait for the elevator is ridiculous, you could be waiting up to 5-10 minutes for an elevator to reach your floor once called. This place is runned down and has lost its touch.

As someone in property management for 10+ years the things people are complaining about in the reviews are pretty silly in my opinion. Yes the pool is closed. But you’re in Hawaii and in downtown Honolulu ALL the pools are tiny and not a reason you should book since we are all there for the beach. Even if the pool was open I don’t think we would’ve spent any time there to be honest. The birds were not bad at all. Again. The birds are everywhere you go in downtown Honolulu it’s not just this hotel. The staff does help keep the area clean and free of birds. Elevators were not great but again….i walked into more than one hotel and there were lines for the elevators everywhere we went. It’s not just this hotel. Downtown the hotels are not these crazy expansive resorts and you have to understand that the building is just built the way it’s built and that’s just how it goes. I would reccomend asking the front desk for a lower floor and use the stairs, I wish we would’ve done that! I wouldn’t pay extra for an ocean view, it’s not worth it and like I said above, being on a lower floor is way more worth it. Staff was super nice. Parking was $50/day and this is normal for every place in downtown so just budget for that! Again not the hotels fault and the sweet guys in valet were great. Also don’t book here for the free breakfast. It wasn’t great and we ended up eating out most of the time, again it’s free so you get what you’re not paying for lol but not a big deal!

Great stay at Hyatt Place. Staff was extremely accommodating and polite. Second to none service. Breakfast staples and rotation of entre was very good. Perfect stay for a family with young children as the beach is a short block away.

I’ve stayed at this hotel four times over the past 12 years, and while I’ve had good experiences in the past, this recent visit was disappointing. The first night, the AC didn’t work at all, and for the next two nights it was so loud I couldn’t sleep properly. Although I reported it, I wasn’t moved to a new room until I complained again. Housekeeping also took three requests before the room was cleaned. After the room change, the rest of my stay went smoothly, and the staff were polite and professional. I hope the hotel improves its responsiveness and maintenance moving forward — it has been a favorite of mine for many years, and I’d love to return to the quality I once experienced.

The property was nice but could’ve been a lot better. The pool was closed due to reconstruction. We had to eat breakfast outside near the closed pool. So no indoor breakfast. The pigeons were everywhere and it was a windy. The Landry room is very small and with only 3 washers and 3 dryers and 1 of the dryers did not work. That size property should at least have 10 of each. The elevators are really slow so have patience or just get on and ride. I will say the hotel’s location is convenient and near the beach, restaurants and shops. I probably would stay here again only if they’ve done some upgrades and finished reconstruction.

I had the best time at this location. It was surrounded by everything you could walk to and I got my steps in. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the breakfast. First, they served breakfast sandwiches that I could have bought at a store and warmed up, and not to mention the birds that would attack your food if you walked away for a brief moment. The pool was not available at the time of my visit, but I hope they upgrade it because it didn’t look like it could fit 10 people. Other than that, I had a great stay.
