We will not come back to this hotel again. At checkin, the lady (Liz) tried to sell another room to us for $88 more per night because we got there at 1 pm and wanted to get our room but she said for the room we reserved we have to wait till 4. If we upgraded we can get it right then. Then I said no and she then said we can pay a one time fee of $80 to checkin early. We thought that was not nice to not offer that option first. Felt like she wanted to rip us off. We had also paid for ocean view but could hardly see the ocean and when I checked they said I should have gotten ocean front! Then we went for lunch at Tropics restaurant since we were very hungry and the food was decent but definitely overpriced which is understandable but the server added on two other random dishes yo our check. I of course noticed because it was a difference of about $75 but he didn’t really apologize. That seemed messed up too. So not great first impressions. The pool was packed and we could never find a pool chair. They were also really weird about their gray ugly towels where you had to give them a card for each towel and get the card back when you return the towel. First day, since nobody told us I just brought one card and got 3 towels and didn’t know I had to get the card back. Next day they said you only get one towel per card so very inconsistent. I would get emails of random charges that they called incidentals just in case. Spend a bit more and stay somewhere less crowded. beach was nice!

The property was beautiful and many amenities are available for families. The only thing is parking is truly expensive. The valet also took forever in parking and getting your car to you every single day. A better system needs to be implemented at the check in parking area for taxi, valet, and drop offs to expedite things.

we (me, my wife, and our 3 kids) stayed for 5 nights. Initially we checked into a suite in the Diamond Head tower, the suite had a bad smell, but it was late at night and we were tired. In the morning we talked to the front desk and they moved us to another suite in the Tapa Tower which was much better and recently renovated. The facility was very clean, and staff was friendly. All in all, a very good experience

This is such a beautiful place to stay. You never have to leave the property if you don’t want to. Many beautiful pools for the kids to enjoy. They do get packed fast so you do need to get there early to secure your chairs. I did have a fall at the slide pool because it gets so wet but other than that we enjoyed our stay. I will say that not all staff are super friendly. I understand that we are on vacation and the staff are working but how can we enjoy our stay if we are not greeted with a smile or even a good morning. Some of the Starbucks staff and other areas were not friendly or happy at all. I will definitely be visiting again.
