We stayed at the ʻAlohilani Resort in Waikiki for two nights and unfortunately had several disappointing experiences during our stay. Upon check-in, we found the bathtub was not properly cleaned—it had visible hair in it. We called to have it cleaned again, and while the front desk acknowledged the request, it was never followed through. Parking was another issue. On a busy night, the self-parking lot was full, and no clear instructions were given. After asking for help, we were finally told to park in the valet area for one night. The process felt disorganized—better communication upfront could have avoided the confusion. At checkout, our key card stopped working just 10 minutes after the checkout time. When we used the valet gate by mistake, the security staff was extremely rude and curtly redirected us to call security from the self-parking gate instead. A little kindness and guidance would have gone a long way. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. After a room cleaning, coffee pods and clean cups were not restocked. And throughout our stay, we noticed that staff, particularly the valet and bell service team, treated us coldly—at times making us feel like we didn’t belong, even though we were paying guests. The overall experience left much to be desired in terms of hospitality and professionalism.

Alohilani resort was great. Clean and staff were very polite and helpful. Beach was literally steps away from the resort with plenty of restaurants and shops all in walking distance. Bathroom was not small but not bad. Parking in the area is not good. This is the only complaint I have, even though you are staying at the resort parking is $50 a day to self park and $60 to have valet parking.

This resort was a sleeper for me, booked it because of location and the pictures and I was pleasantly surprised in a really good way, everything was great minus 2 things but not bad enough to change my 5/5 rating. The bathrooms are really small, like really small and the main restaurant is useless. The restaurant only serves a 7 course meal for everyone?? Always empty. All in all a great resort on Waikīkī Beach.

from the moment we walked in customer service was horrible. parking lot was always full to the point where we had to park outside of the building and walk back late at night. property failed to notify that prom was being held at this facility during our stay there fore parking was ever worse !!! and to make it worse the kids were staying above us laughing and being extremely loud until 5-6 am!! we notified security and they did nothing about it . be aware of addition resort fees AND additional taxes added DAILY. nonetheless not a good experience at this hotel and will never be returning

While the lobby and amenities may give off a 5-star appearance, the actual service at this property falls well short of that standard. Housekeeping was disappointing — they came in, made the bed, and left dirty glasses behind. We aren’t messy people, but it was clear the room wasn’t properly cleaned. We were also told we’d have a room with a sofa bed, but when we arrived, there wasn’t one. After going back down to the front desk, we were eventually brought a cot. We had to call multiple times just to get an extra blanket. The pool area is visually lovely, but there are no attendants enforcing any kind of rules, so the hot tub was full of young children, despite it being clearly marked for adults. Food service by the pool was painfully slow, and when I spoke to the restaurant manager, even he seemed surprised that the hotel is marketed as 5-star. The staff themselves were all kind, and I genuinely felt bad having to raise these issues — but the experience just didn’t match the level of service expected from a 5-star property. Even the rooms were dated, and some walls were peeling. I could go on, but in short: if you're looking for a true 5-star experience, this hotel isn’t it. Disappointing overall.

Great resort the pool deck was amazing and the service around the hotel was amazing! The hotel is so nice the views are amazing and you know it’s good when they were able to host a prom! The valet was the best I’ve ever seen and played a VERYY significant part in my trip if it weren’t for them it would of made things way less convenient they deserve all the love in the world thank you so much and this hotel made my vacation the best it could of been.

Good stay

My second time staying here. The room was very dusty and had a hiccup with the towels upon checkin but overall a good stay. Sophia and JJ at the front desk were great and Sarah at Swell pool bar made my trip memorable with her vibrant personality. Swell pool bar closed their kitchen at 9:30pm but they advertise 10pm. I called at 9:33pm to place an order so i wasn't happy about that. Great location and friendly service. Will stay here again
