Quite area, easy city access

We arrived after checkin time & was helped by a very friendly & helpful staff member who had just finished her shift. The next day was a public holiday so we didn’t see anyone else as the hotel was closed. Easy walk down hill to city centre & harbour. Quite an effort to return. But if taking a car there are plenty of paid car parks available.

Nice staff, clean and safe room. Good food in restaurant. The hike up the hill from town is challenging though. You will get a good workout if you walk.

Excellent stay! Great views, room and service.

This hotel/motel was a great find! Our room (number 7) had an amazing view over Hobart and the water. Rooms are spacious and have really comfortable beds. Water pressure in shower was excellent. Air cond/heating works really well. We loved being able to have the windows open too. Staff were really friendly and there's a mini mart a short walk away. The hotel is on a hill though so it is quite a steep walk down and back up from the city centre. We enjoyed the exercise though. Not good for the elderly unless you have a car or using Uber/Taxi.

Great for the price

Comfortable motel stay just outside of the downtown Hobart area. I would recommend for those with a car, as the hill is quite steep. Always had parking available. Noise wasn’t an issue for me, although folks were drinking in the parking lot quite late (didn’t bother me). If you’re on a budget, a mighty fine stay.

Staff were friendly on our arrival. Very comfortable bed and we had a lovely view. It was a very economical hotel for the budget conscious. Very clean, though the bathroom was tiny, the shower was fantastic.

Friendly staff, handy location. Room was a little noisy at times, but not too bad. Basic amenities, but that is also fine. Great view due to being towards top of a hill. The hill also meant walking to cbd was ok, but got taxi back. Overall it was a nice stay and we'd stay again

the Marquis was as described, budget friendly, clean and the view was awesome. The bed was a little firm but otherwise ok. Only a few minutes drive to centre of Hobart.

Nice room with a fantastic view of hobart and the bay. Decent beds, modern tv, fridge and aircon. Nice bar with pool tables, good priced beer. Very close to city center. Only downside is its up on a steep hill, so would recommend driving or uber back from the city. Overall friendly helpful staff, nice stay.

A good budget room, it was quite, and clean the bed was comfortable, would stay again, the only thing to be aware of it is on a very steep street, so we walked into town and got an uber back only $8.80.

Great for families. Amazing train park/playground with giant slide just blocks away. Paesano's Italian close, great pizza. Newsagency also had great options for quick meals. We were there right before Christmas and delightfully surprised at a HUGE light display on a house walking distance away- the whole neighborhood came out to see it!! So fun! Walkable to the pier, ferries, museums, botanical gardens, TMAG. Great views. Oh! and check out Rivulette River Walk nearby to see resident platypus family, too!

O quarto era amplo e limpo. Gostei do aquecedor no banheiro, pois Hobart fazia muito frio nos dias que lá estive. Recomendável para quem está de carro porque as ladeiras em volta são terrivelmente altas. O colchão era um pouco mole para o meu gosto.
