Great location, excellent facilities
Lovely hotel in central location, despite this it was still quiet at night. Rooftop pool was a real bonus to cool us down after hot days out visiting places. All the staff were wonderful and kind, giving recommendations of places to go and providing a travel agent service, they also were helpful with luggage storage. The breakfast buffet was varied and catered for all tastes. We didn't eat dinner or take afternoon tea in the hotel as we were out and about most if the time. Overall highly recommended and we'd definitely suggest staying here to friends and family

Very good service. Great location to shopping, street food. Skyview building. Staff were friendly and spa was cheap for massages. Pool view was fantastic. Very polite and breakfast was good. Afternoon tea was calming and inviting. Jr room was spacious and out door shower brilliant.

We stayed here twice, a few days at the beginning of our trip and a few days at the end. We were warmly welcomed by friendly and helpful staff each time. Second time we were upgraded, another beautiful room. Rooms clean and comfortable, breakfast was great. We will definitely return. Thank you Au Lac Charner.

The staff A super friendly here. But the shower was clogged and I’ve had to call at least five times for maintenance service. They came to do it but it’s still an issue that was water flooding onto the bathroom floor. I stayed for three nights and I had to avoid taking a shower because of the Water over floating and causing the floors to be all wet. I brought it up to the staff, but there’s not much they can do. I felt like it was really overpaying an additional $94 each up for the upgrades.

We had a perfect stay and wish we could have stayed for longer. The weather wasn’t very good when we got there so we decided to spend some time on the roof top pool and enjoy afternoon tea which was lovely and had stunning views of the city. The staff were all really kind and the room was a good size. We checked out and left our bags with the hotel. As our flight late in the evening the staff let us spend some more time in the evening by the pool, use the showers and in the bar before getting a taxi to the airport which we really appreciated. The location of the hotel is excellent and easy walking to everything. The coffee shop under the entrance did an excellent egg coffee which was a must try. Would definitely say again.

We stayed at Au Lac Charner for 3 nights in October 2024 and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is right in the heart of District 1 and is walking distance from all the main attractions. The staff at reception were also exceptionally welcoming. Free breakfast was a plus and the pool was decently-sized and a perfect visit for Vietnam’s hot and humid weather. I would highly recommend Au Lac Charner Hotel to all my family and friends.

Good but with faults
Property I would describe as old style colonial architecture mixed with Raffles Singapore influences.The piped music at breakfast is elegant and afternoon tea is a welcome addition,Staff including security were awesome.The property has a lift but people who have problems with stairs may find the entrance difficult with several steps and steps to afternoon tea on the 10th floor tricky as there is no rails though security are very happy to help.Breakfast was very nice-though struggled to understand how could run out of orange juice on 2 mornings and only offered instant coffee or tea.Having to pay for a Vietnamese coffee was a big surprise when other hotels on our trip of a lower standard added this as a complimentary addition to their breakfasts whilst some hot items were often not hot but warm.Afternoon tea was nice-pastries were 'okay' but normally sandwiches of some sort are an afternoon tea and was none but again instant room coffee or tea offered and seldomly juices Shower in room only had a shower curtain if not a step in bath and water relied on sun so often only warm not be replaced whilst some hot items were often not hot but warm.The location 5-10 mins walk makes it ideal for cruising -many shops near.I was unhappy that a host of mine got charged for a cup of tea that I gave him cos I didnt like the flavour-neither the attendant or staff would agree to the customer is aways right.Staff generally outstanding.Is this hotel worth the price NO-would I stay again prob not

Stunning hotel. So beautifully presented with lots of greenery. Staff were amazing and helped me with transfers. I walked all over HCM city from here and lots of dining options nearby. I chose the suite with the shower on the balcony and I LOVED it! Roof top pool was also very refreshing and much needed after walking in the humidity all day.

Our stay at Au Lac Charmer was so much more than we expected. The hotel staff were super amazing, friendly and exceeded our expectations and remembered us and our room 😀. They also surprised my husband with a birthday cake which was a beautiful touch and when we had to relocate to another room we got an even better room and a bunch of flowers. It was a really lovely touch and something we will remember.

We arrived at night and there is no 'welcome ' at that hour despite numerous employees standing around. We were fortunate to have our luggage taken to our room...others not so much. Early on our third day we were told they needed to vacate our floor and one other due to air conditioner problems. That sort of thing happens but they tried to move us to a supposed 'upgrade room' in some Neighboring building that you accessed through a strange door and a tiny elevator to find one solitary room and no hotel environment. They wasted 2 hrs of our day trying to find a suitable room to move us to. Lots of apologies etc but it was like throwing salt in a wound when they asked us upon checkout for 30000 dong for the water we drank! If you enjoy customer service in your 4 star hotels, I'd give this one a miss.

I loved the decor of the hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean. Very central location as we could walk to the markets and all the malls. The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Hotel is centrally located and genrally comfortable but has a serious mold problem in both my original room and the "upgrade." The original room had a jacuzzi in the center of the room and the shower was out on the balcony which was both nice and weird. No one told me about the shower so i had to use the jacuzzi to wash my self the first morning.
