Not what I expected

Our stay at REM Rivergate was off to a good start with detailed messages from the team, inclusive of who to collect our access keys from, where to find free wifi, transportation and air-conditioning instructions. Upon opening the room door, we were horrified to say the least. There were bugs crawling on the floor and in the fridge, stains on the furniture upholstery, broken cabinets and doors, and the overall look was comparable to a budget student dorm-room. I told the staff of our disappointment and they were extremely sorry and immediately gave us a new room which was much nicer and made the stay much more comfortable and enjoyable. However, the bathroom door didn’t close which made for a small discomfort. The building is in a good location with amenities near-by. The pool is beautiful and has an amazing view however something that should have been included is that there are no towels provided for the pool, and to use the pool, your appartment host must meet you there and sign you in which was a bit strange.

I was promised a fitness centre and arrived at the property to find out this was not the case. To use the pool you had to get someone to meet you at the pool . Property had a big issue with ants . Also it was advertised as a serviced apartment. No coffee or milk provided . I had to ask for water . I had the apartment serviced once in 4 days . I wasn’t happy with check in as it was extremely unorganised with many mistakes with the cards to the room even after asking for everything to be organised. Very disappointing.

location was good, a bit far from the city, but there were a lot of cafes and restaurant surrounding. If you just want to relax at one place, this is a good one, but for someone want to explore Ho chi minh city, this might cost them a bit extra $ for taxi to travel around

Had to book this in last minute due to long delay of my flight from Danang. After reaching the place as given by them, they kept in a different property saying that the property I booked is already filled. Asked me again to relocate to different property next day due to which we have to pack the luggage once again. Had a very bad experience as it wasted my lot of our time. What i undesired from my experience is, irrespective of the availability they just accept and try to accommodate based on the available flats they have at different properties they have

Mi experiencia en este hotel fue negativa. Al llegar, intentaron cambiarnos de apartamento a otro edificio en un distrito diferente, en un claro intento de estafa. Afortunadamente, un amigo vietnamita nos ayudó y se nos asignó un apartamento en el mismo edificio, aunque la limpieza dejaba mucho que desear. Además, al hacer el check-out intentaron quedarse con la fianza. No lo recomendaría.

Ben Thanh Inn is a cozy hotel with 2 rooms per floor. The check-in process at the front desk was easy and payment can be made with card or cash. The hotel is tucked away in an alley and it is a 5-10 minute walk to the famous landmarks in Saigon such as the Opera House, Nguyen Hue walking street, and Ben Thanh Market. The rooms themselves are spacious and clean with comfortable mattresses and great air conditioning. Free strong wifi is provided and I had no issues with connectivity.
