When we arrived we were told that they had taken payment from my credit card. I told them that I had paid Expedia but they insisted that they were entitled to take the payment from my card. Hopefully I have not paid twice.

Wonderful staff. We got a recently renovated room with a kitchenette which was great. This place is not new and it’s not fancy. But we don’t need that. It felt like home. And I must repeat: the staff was wonderful.

The staff there were extremely friendly, very helpful. For instance, a young man helped us carry up eight heavy suitcases up the stairs. This is because there is no elevator in this building. The room was clean. The building is in dire need of a update or renovation.

A great, clean, functional room in great location. Has small kitchenette in the room which was great and the bed was so comfortable. There is no lift or air-con but not needed, the fans and ocean breeze were perfect. Awesome location with fantastic views, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Will be back!!

Older hotel. Could use remodeling but this is a budget hotel. No air but our room was within feet of the water and we got a very nice breeze.. No beach but nice view. Our room was large. Bedding and linens smelled fresh and clean. Fine if you're on a budget.

Great location outside of downtown area. Less traffic and ample parking. Very clean and safe. Friendly staff. An older building that could use some upgrades, like A/C and an elevator. Some of room furniture was pretty worn. Overall, very good.

The room was comforatble, the view was simply breath taking and to hear the ocean waves this close was very realxing. You can watch the sunset right there from the balcony and from the dining table. The bedcover was warm and the bed was just right. Everything was spick and span, truly clean, towels were immaculately white, no bleach smell, so were the bedsheets. One pillow firm one pillow soft was another suprise of the finesse of their hospitalty. the staff was very helpful and kind and loving reception. It warned our hearts to be in Hilo with the real "old Hawaiian ALOHA" reception and stay there. We take this wonderful Aloha from heart-to-heart with us back to Honolulu and will cherish it and spread it to our community here. Sweet loving kindness only in Hawaii... We will certainly return and recommend to others as well being in the same type of business in Waikiki.

Basic with a nice vibe!
Perfect for what I needed. Old style Hilo casual within walking distance along the Bay to wonderful food at the Coconut Grill. Nice people, nothing fussy or high end about this place...just a low key vibe and the basics are covered. Pool was refreshing, view was delightful!
