We enjoyed the room and kitchenette. The beds and bedding were super comfortable and clean. The only recommendation is to pressure wash the balcony. All in all it was a great stay and the area was so enjoyable. A must see if the HoferS Bakery right up the street.

The hotel and the entire town of Helen needs a complete remodel and updating. It is far too old; lots of broken, or torn tiles, bricks, and desperately in need of fresh paint. Cute town and I'm sure it was prettier back in the 70's or 80's.

Only negative would probably be that the walls are paperthin. Night person called to complain about the noise, and I have no idea what he was talking about. Our TV was on, but not loud, and we were just conversing - but he got very rude. We did hear the noise next door at 8 AM, so I maybe understand.

The hotel staff was nice but the decor was a little outdated. I would have given 5 stars due to location and overall quality but the only feedback I could give would be to have the curtains updated to black out curtains so the neon sighs did not peep through the curtains. I woke up several times thinking it was 7am but it was 1:50am.

I would stay here again, but...
The riverside patio and view was really good, as was the live music at a restaurant up the river a bit. The outdoor furniture could be a bit nicer, but was comfortable enough for a couple of hours. The room was clean, but the decor is dated with dark brown being a prominent color (white bedding would make a big difference). The bathroom is small and fixtures older, but the the toilet is private. The private balcony was nice and had a screen door so we could leave the main door open and enjoy the sound of the river. Perfect location with a very short walk to the Octoberfest building, downtown shops, and recommended restaurants.

This was my first time staying at the Helendorf with some family. Wish I had one more day here it was awesome. The rooms were located at the courtyard up the stairs ,rooms 716 and 715 . Loved the rocking chairs they have in front of the rooms on the porch, the rooms were clean and kept up , no complaints. The staff were quick and friendly with the checkin process. Will definitely be staying at the Helendorf again ! The location is perfect to all the shops and restaurants

This is not a high end property, so the decor is dated. The room is very clean and the bed was comfortable. The best part is the proximity to EVERYTHING in Helen. All shops, river, and restaurants are within seconds of the door.

Our first time staying here and we definitely enjoyed ourselves! Loved that everything is within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and gave us great options on where to eat and do day excursions! The grounds are beautiful being on the river! We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river.

Hotel is centrally located everything was walking distance. Hotel was a bit outdated. But the location on the river can’t be beat. The room I stayed in needed a rug cleaning and the pillows were flat and hard.

The employees were very nice and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. We loved having a balcony on the river and enjoyed relaxing in our room, as well as how the location was so convenient. We didn't get in the car all weekend! We'll stay again. :)

When we arrived the sink was stopped up and there was a stain on sheet, so I was turned off immediately. The view from our balcony was great, very relaxing. Very pricey for the accommodations.
