Clean, comfortable, large rooms
Hotel was clean, rooms were large and COVID precautions were taken seriously as far as I could tell. We arrived late Saturday afternoon and the front desk seemed a little short staffed but managed just fine. (Also, the outdoor fire pit and 2 of our friend's TV's were not working at the time.)

There was no front desk attendant for 15 minutes when we arrived as we looked at the “we’ll be right back sign” located at the front desk. Sergio, the operations manager, finally arrived and greeted us with sarcasm. There was no advertised complementary breakfast with nothing on the website about it not being currently offered or anyway communicated to us prior to arrival. Sergio was rude about my son’s car. He asked what car it was so they would know the cars that are supposed to be on property. My son said the grey Honda Insight out front and he said “Honda Accord”. My son corrected him “Insight” and Sergio said “oh...the ugly car out front?”. Also...the pool was closed due to repairs. This was also not on their website or communicated to us ahead of time. If I had known those two facts prior to arrival (breakfast and pool), I would have looked for another hotel. We will not visit a Residence Inn again due to this experience.

Front desk associate did not know that there were essential personnel exemptions to the State COVID Quarantine mandate. At 11pm after we traveled 10 hrs (having reserved the room 3 weeks prior), he was trying to keep us (a family of 6 including newborn) From our room if we weren’t willing to quarantine there for 14 days. We had to show him his state’s own order and prove we were traveling for essential federal Business. Had no issue after that, but it was very stressful and frightening that night. Military transfer season is beginning to roll, so maybe informing employees about the exemptions is best so a military family doesn’t sleep in their car or lose reservation money because employees simply weren’t aware. I don’t blame the employee and we were able to stay in our room 30 mins after we searched through the order, that went into effect AFTER we were already on the road. Prior to travel, I checked all state orders for preparation, so I really didn’t know how further to prep on my end. No breakfast options are offered, but there is a Dunkin Donuts walking distance next door.

The price was good, which is why I decided to book here. My first problem was the sofa bed, it was so bad, springs sticking out of the mattress and uncomfortable, that we had to have a roll away brought in, but they did bring it quickly and it was great (just too small for my two girls). The pool was great, until I ran someone’s rusty earring through my toe on the bottom of the pool... but the manager/director was super nice and even gave me snack items on the house! In the middle of the night,water started pouring through our kitchen ceiling light! Someone came immediately and put a bucket and towels... I don’t think I will stay here again, but I must say the the guy in charge will do anything to make you happy, he was great!
