The staff are impeccable and hard working. City location was also excellent. I do think the photos were misleading and made the room look much larger than it was in reality. Table space was badly lacking and there was a mildewy smell if we did not run the air conditioner. (Shower had a severe drainage / backflow problem which probably contributed to this.)

Nice staff poor hotel

Hotel staff very friendly but the hotel it’s self is very poor.. Room was tiny with no room to leave you case open There isn’t a lift from ground floor and the breakfast was poor Not a lot of choice and I had to keep asking for food that had run out but not been topped up each day

We picked this place almost at random and it was a very lucky pick. Hanoi is so hectic and hot and royal palace was an oasis. The service was incredible. We went to Sapa and got an overnight train back and the manager slept on a mattress by his desk to be there for when we arrived at 5am!!!!

Breakfast was really good and a good selection. Our room was very comfortable. A large king size bed, beautiful balcony, space to put your suitcases. A kettle with tea and coffee and two bottles of water each day. There is a safety deposit box in the wardrobe. Nice size bathroom and free WiFi. We had a great stay here.

a very nice experience, it was my first time in hanoi and everything was very impressive, i didn't know what to expect since i booked the hotel, i was in frankfurt, i sent a message to booking if you have any idea how I could reach them at the hotel, a few minutes later I received the answer that someone was coming from the airport to pick me up, even though I landed at 4am at a cost of only 20 euros.

We stayed at the Royal Palace Hotel mid to end of october and enjoyed every bit of it. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful. Jimmi and Jennie demonstrated top notch hospitality. They helped us arrange everything we asked for. My friend and I took a 2 day unforgettable tour at Ha Long Bay which Jimmi arranged. After we came back from the tour, our room was upgraded to a bigger one with balcony. If you are looking for a hotel with 5 star service, this is the place. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this hotel twice during our trip. As far as cleanliness, service by the staff, breakfast at the restaurant we were very satisfied. However the rooms we got during our stay were quite different. First time on the 3rd floor the room a litlle bit small but the second time I stayed in a deluxe room on the 4th floor with beautiful view from window. We were picked up by the hotel taxi at the airport and had no problem finding the driver. Driver was driving quite fast and so friendly. Hotel is very close to the lake.

My dad and I only checked into this place at the last minute because all the hotels we inquired along the Old District were booked but we were so glad we did! We both got our own rooms and they were pretty spacious and clean. The hotel is only a three minute walk to Hoan Kiem lake so is great for sight seeing around the area. Best of all, Mr. Jim and his co-workers were very friendly and accommodating, ensuring we enjoyed our stay.
