My room was one that had been newly renovated. There is still construction on other rooms so the elevator was used for debris, making it messy and rug on my floor dirty from elevator guess it can't be helped.

Really bad night!

When we got there no one was at the desk to check us in & there were people sitting there waiting. They said they'd been waiting about 10 min already and once we arrived or was another 10ish min before anyone came to the desk. That night around 11pm, the person in the room above us started stomping around their room really loudly keeping us awake. At 2am we called the desk to complain and I don't think they did anything to resolve this because the stomping and loud noises continued until around 4am. This was an awful night!

**Hotel Review: Marriott Fairfield** I recently stayed at the Marriott Fairfield for a volleyball tournament with my daughter, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. We booked a double red bedroom, which was newly renovated. While the fresh paint gave it a clean look, the strong smell of paint was a bit overwhelming and detracted from our comfort. Unfortunately, the shower in our room did not function well, which was frustrating, especially after long days at the tournament. However, the most concerning issue was that on the first night, I woke up with five bite marks on my body after laying in bed. This was quite alarming and definitely affected my overall comfort during the stay. To add to the chaos, as we were checking out on Sunday, there was a significant disturbance in the hotel. I believe someone may have been trespassing, as the police were present. It was a chaotic end to our stay, and I’m not sure what really happened, but it certainly didn’t leave a good impression. On a positive note, I must commend the staff, particularly the check-in lady, who was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Her kindness was a bright spot in an otherwise challenging experience. Overall, while there were some redeeming aspects, I’m unsure if I would choose to stay at this Marriott Fairfield again given the issues we faced.
