this hotel is looking a feeling bit tired, but still everything functioning as it should, descent shower and beds etc.
Staff are friendly and helpful and there is a country park if you fancy a mooch around.
With the property being in the M74 service area it can get a bit noisy with wagons comming and going.
We had a problem with your booking system we styated that we needed a downfloor room as there was no lift and i was unable to walk upstairs.When we arrived he said we were booked in for an upstairs room.I found this very stressful as i had phoned up before hand to check that we were downstairs. However the very helpful gentleman on reception sorted it out and we were able to stay.
Very tired but in a convenient location for travelling. Staff were good and helpful but the bed probably should have been replaced some time ago. No food at the hotel but McDonalds and Costa Coffee is right next door.
Very handy location for motorway and strathclyde park. Good amenities with service station but did mean a bit of noise through the night. I was also kept awake with room doors closing loudly late at night. Otherwise excellent, staff very friendly. Great price.
It made me sick i have asthma and the room was full of house mite. A live wire hanging in the bathroom skirting board hanging off,the bin in the bathroom was not emoted my 8 year old boy has autism and put his hands in and emptied it of a tampon rapper and used smelly baby wipes, I complained about it and was given £20 in food vouchers and an apology ,however the dust was everywhere I used about a weeks worth of ventolin over night triggered by house-mite dust so I decided to leave in the morning instead of staying for the 2 days ,and getting a refund but it was a Sunday and the hotel only has a cleaning lady but her English wasn’t very good,no staff on Sunday until 3pm she said,she had no access to the office and couldn’t contact anyone, so I couldn’t get a refund ,

Ok for the money
Cheap and basic hotel that is in need of a refurbishment. Arrived later than planned as motoway junction was closed and its not obvious how to get into a motorway service station where this place is when the motorway itself is shut ! Reception guy was friendly and efficient as he could be at midnight. Room was very worn inc dents and marks and wall and stains on chair seat. Ironically they scan a credut card at checkin to cover any damage caused. Bathroom was tatty and worn, but functional. No noise disturbance overnight and noone at reception to discuss how to get the 25% discount at adjoing Costa and McD’s as mentioned in booking
