I really liked my stay at Hotel Halifax. Great location & tasty breakfast & coffee in the restaurant. The only issue I had was with all the construction going on outside. However once I got my whereabouts- I was away exploring via the Scotia Food Mall & down through the walkway to the waterfront. So much to see and do on foot. Wish I had more time, I’m definitely coming back!

I asked about parking as I have never been to Halifax before. the clerk told me go to p2 or p3 and you will find an elevator. we got lost of course. had to get security in scotia square. to show us. had to ask people in the elevator. it was not good for my first experience. and I specifically told the clerk we were new to the area. she didn't help at all. there are no parking garages where I live so saying P2 or P3 means nothing. anddddddd I had to pay $24 for overnight parking when there is construction going on. not my fault. should be no charge for overnight stay. If the hotel can't supply adequate space, then we should get a ticket for free overnight parking.

It was so much fun! The few was kinda bad. The pool was freezing. More colder then I remember it being. There was also this very strong peppermint smell that gave me a headache and my little sister eyes were watering. But other than that. We had a fun time!

Honestly a decent hotel for the price! Bed was clean and comfortable, room was a good size, bathroom clean and had the basics. There is construction outside the hotel at the moment, but that's only temporary and didn't affect our stay apart from making sure we didn't miss the temporary road to turn on to. Elevators are a bit slow.

The best part of the hotel was the restaurant and the server from the restaurant. I wish I could remember her name. She was actually our concierge. The staff at the desk were unfriendly not very welcoming. I would have liked on checkin information about restaurants plus shopping and things around the area to see. We had to do our own search in how long it would take us to get places and prepare ourselves. I didn’t mind doing that for sure. I wouldn’t ask the front desk as they seemed we were bothering them. I just found that part very disappointing and made my experience with the hotel less than standard.
