Alaa and Auren were amazing! They allowed to check in early, as we had come off a cruise ship. They were really compassionate as my mother in law is in a wheelchair and they made sure she had a first level room.
The gentleman in the afternoon, I think his name was “Yacov?” He was also super sweet and did what he could to help my daughter with a bowl of cereal for dinner!!! We had to check out at 3:30am and Sarah was super helpful making my family a small bag of goodies for the road back to Tel Aviv. I also appreciated the cleanliness and great supermarket and restaurants close by. The beach is literally a few steps away!!!
The hotel was amazing, clean, confortable and spacious. But the most amazing is the staff, we forgot an I pad when we left, they informed us about it and Sara from the reception brought it to us in Jerusalem !!! Thank you again !!!
We enjoyed how the clever architectural layout of our hotel room allowed a room the size of a study to feel like a small 2-bedroom apartment. We appreciated the motorized window shades: they blocked out sunlight and helped keep the room quiet even when windy at night outside. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and lounging areas, and the hotel's proximity to a promenade connecting two beaches and the cable car to Mount Carmel's monastery. Bat Galim had far fewer restaurants than the port's main thoroughfare on Ben Gurion Avenue, and some buildings in the area are boarded up, but the overall effect of the neighborhood's quietness was relaxing. If you find the shortcut through a apartment complex on Google GPS, the walk from this Domus Hotel (now called Sea Shell Hotel) to the train station is less than 10 minutes.
