Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

Checking in receptionist was curt and unfriendly. First room refrigerator did not work. They accommodated our request to move. Room adequate in size. Refresh was limited…we were there for 3 nights. Not all towels were exchanged and soap dispenser was empty for shower. Good location to Yosemite park. Quiet and nice outdoor sitting/pool. Great restraunt next door…walkable!

This property met all the expectations I had from reading previous reviews. The only issue we had was that we couldn't access our T-Mobile cell service without first logging into the property's wireless system. And we had satisfactory service with the wireless, but didn't task it with any heavy lifting.

This small hotel was such a nice surprise on our way from San Francisco to Yosemite! The rooms had been completely upgraded and they have thought of everything… phone and watch charger options by the bed, multiple off-floor places for suitcases, pump products in the shower and even for lotion, clean floor instead of marginal carpets. Cute surroundings with outside sitting options. Last stop before you pay the high prices in the Park! Excellent value too.

We can’t think of a better experience. The location was 20 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite. Very nice room. Comfortable bed. Would stay again and recommend to others.

We loved the proximity to the west gate of Yosemite. Even though a hotel is close to a gate, it’s still a long drive into the valley. That’s for any hotel around Yosemite though. We loved our stay at the lodge and was able to take hot showers, relax in the hot tub, and get a good nights sleep after our extremely long days of hiking. We would venture over to the lucky buck cafe and get breakfast before heading to the park and would grab dinner after the park. Stay here, you’ll be glad you did.
