The building itself is beautiful, a Victorian country house, and set in woodland. There's plenty of parking at the front of the hotel.
Inside, it was welcoming and clean.
My room was very comfortable, a lovely bed in which I had a fantastic nights sleep. I was happy to be able to open the window and get some fresh air (not like a well known chain that seals windows shut!).
The only thing that may disturb your stay is the creaking floorboards, it is an old building after all. They didn't cause an issue for me, but I was extremely tired!
I didn't have the breakfast so cannot comment on that.
I loved my stay and will definitely try and visit again, but next time stay for longer.
