I'm a Hilton Honors member and booked a king room because I am in a boot post-surgery and needed space to protect it from being hit accidentally by my husband when I slept. When we checked in at 6:30pm, they said they were "out of king rooms" so they had changed my reservation to 2 queens and "was that ok?" As if I had any choice. The property was alright but there are many signs of wear and age--the linens were snagged and piling and there are scuff marks all over the walls and other signs of wear that need attention. I was really frustrated about their running out of room types that were specifically reserved in advance, especially being a Hilton Honors member myself. I won't be staying here again.

Quiet and clean, right off the highway and perfect for a one night stop. The only complaint is that every time one of us moved in bed, it creaked and we could hear our son moving around in his bed too. But otherwise great.

Not good for people with elderly

The front desk staff was lovely. The toilets and all the rooms in the lobby toilets are very very low.. They need to get the higher toilets for middle age and elder people. I have a bad back and knees, and it was very hard to get up and down from the lowest toilets not very accessible for anybody with any type of disabilities.

We booked one night stay through Expedia. We had to push the reservation one night because of the storms (extenuating circumstances) in South Carolina. Expedia contacted the hotel and arranged to change our one-night reservation without penalty. When we arrived at the hotel the receptionist (Jay) did not want to look at our Expedia updated reservation. He said “I do not need to see that. Our policy is not to accept changes from third party vendors (Expedia)”. His attitude was dismissive and aggravated the situation. What I would have expected is hospitality. Something like “We are sorry that you had to delay your travels because of the storms. I cannot see the updated reservation from Expedia in my system, but let me see what I can do.”
