A large property The hotel seems in the mist of a refurb with a lovely modern reception and dining area But other parts in need of some improvement We didn’t eat on site, but I would say mid range pricing , we did sit in the bar area which was nice and spacious with lots of golfers using and a conference when we were there we still found seats Rooms are well equipped with hairdryer, ironing and ironing board, safe, tea tray shower gel and hand soaps, plenty of towels A small seating area The rooms are a mix, old style tv and old furniture But our bathroom was more modern Bedding smelt really musty and damp, , we saw the laundry outside in the car park in large bins so assumed perhaps why I’d of loved a full size mirror , we just had a round mirror above the dressing table The reason for our stay we had a voucher for the spa, the spa was nice it had its own spa cafe for lunch and drinks You also had access to a relaxation room, gym, swimming pool jacuzzi steam room and sauna We would stay again if we were in the area

Following booking i contacted central booking to request a specific room due to is location and a a medical issue. Crntral booking confirmed the room and stated that the room was booked to me and notes on the system to not move the booking. When i arrived i was told that i was in a different room as they had given the room to someone else. I call central booking again and they confirmed that the room was still booked for me. The new room was further walking distance which i struggle with. The manager offered another room closer to the lift/entrance which i took but this proved to be very noisy due to its location. Im the bathroom there is a sticker on the heated towel rail saying do not use and the decor in the bed area needs attention.

Anniversary night away

We received a very warm welcome and an upgrade as it was our wedding anniversary. Lovely large room which was very comfortable and extremely clean. Swimming pool was a bonus. The restaurant is very good. The staff are all fantastic. I would recommend this hotel.

The only thing is that you don’t do room service, and the bar stops serving food at 7pm on a Saturday night.. which forces us to dine in the restaurant which is far too formal for our chilled out night after a long day racing
