The bed was lumpy, pillows were flat and terrible. The pool, hot tub, and ice machine was out of service. The phone in my room did work so I had to call the front desk from my phone when the smoke detector in my room was chirping at 4:00am! It was not a good experience.
Pool, hot tub and ice machienes were all broken, no extra pillows available. The bath tub surround was covered in mold, the shower head was hanging out of the wall by a giant hole in the sheet rock and the shower head leaked so bad it was shooting water at the sheet rock. Building was in very poor condition.
Nothing clean, updated or works. right away walking in you see a sign that says no pool, no hot tub and no ice machines work. cracks in walls, painted over damage and very poor conditions.
Walked into hotel and saw a sign that said “pool, hot tub and ice machine down until further notice” that was our main reason for staying there! Then we wanted to sit outside the old owners had a beautiful propane firepit. The lady at the desk sadly didn’t speak very fluent English she didn’t understand firepit. Check into our room after being told that “Expedia frauded us” and our reservations were not valid! I’ve been using Hotels.com for years and have had good luck. So we paid privately. Walk into a room and after over 90 minutes of staff and my partner trying to turn on tv…the worker was on his phone most of this time…we were given a new room. The bathtub was filthy so we chose not to shower. The Perks was that they attempted to accommodate the television part and are pet friendly but I know we won’t be staying there again! This used to be our go-to in Grand Rapids, MN. The property is poorly taken care of, lawn unkempt, parking lot needs work. Sad to see such a formerly nice hotel go to crap like this one did.
The room was great. Our only issue was that we couldn't figure out how to get the TV channels. We gave up and just went to sleep. A little disappointed the pool was out of order.
The property was fine but Expedia was the issue. I pre paid for this stay and when I arrived to check in the hotel couldn’t process it because Expedia did not send them the funds. I was on the phone with Expedia for an hour and they didn’t understand the issue at all. They ended up having to cancel my stay and I had to pay an extra $60 to stay the night. They have still not refunded me and told me the best they could do is $25 in rewards for Expedia.
The motel was great but our hotel booking was NOT! You hadn’t paid the motel and I had paid on the app. It took a long phone. Call and half hour wait - wasting our time and others trying to check in behind us!
We had a great stay, and the staff went out of their way to help with a check-in problem due to a third party. Stellar customer service and would recommend staying here 10/10.

Ok for price
Kids were very disappointed that the pool was closed for maintenance over Memorial Day weekend. That was one of the main reasons for picking the hotel. The hotel is definitely older and in need of some repairs, but it was decent for the price. Front desk staff was not professional at all but got the job done I guess.
Very uncomfortable beds, I needed to see a chiropractor after my visit. Unfinished construction and repairs throughout the building. Hot tub was out of order, which was one of the main reasons i had chosen this hotel in the first place. Staff was friendly, but unfortunately have to deal with crabby customers due to their terrible experiences.
Will NOT stay here again.
We did not realize the property was under construction. One of the locks on our door was broken. The hot tub was broken. The pool was nice. Breakfast the first morning was disappointing as there was very little to choose from so we had cereal. It was better the next day. The staff were friendly but would disappear from the front desk for long periods of time.
The breakfast selection was incredible & had choices for everyone! I'll be booking again just for the breakfast! The service checking in was kind, welcoming and feiendly; despite the system used and lack in training, we had a pleasant experience. I absolutely loved the decor for halloween & the treats available :D Unfortunately, the hot tub was out of order, which was the original reason we booked this specific hotel.
The room smelled like an old hotel, musty. New paint & newish carpet. Bathrooms need to be gutted & renewed with showers. The shower head reminded me of my parents house in the 1980's. Towels were all old & worn. Windows are not very secure. Free breakfast was good. Lobby is worn out, old & cramped.
I really enjoy the excellent customer service. Very friendly and accommodating.

The outside of the property looks like it hasn't had any maintenance for years. Weeds, overgrown shrubs, and a dirty and broken entry door. Not a great first impression.
Pretty standard room, a bit older with well-worn walls with gouges and scrapes.
Cheaper rates it shows.
